Good quality/price, the breakfast a little bit poor. location near city center, room and towels were clean (thanks for housemaid in this hotel).Hotel`s public areas and especially rooms are very old, with old furnuture, dirty floor and walls, old TV, old and weak lock on the door. So why they lie about renovation? It is ok only for short stay in Nice, never go there for long holidays. No refrigerator in the room. Wi-Fi works only in lobby, I used neithbours free wi-fi because couldnt to catch hotel`s WIFI in my room.

I wouldn't recommend this for a romantic weekend with the aim of spoiling my lover, but it's a handy location, and value for money.

We used this hotel as a base before we checked into our villa. It's reasonably priced and fairly central. It's a short walk to the Promenade des Anglais. The hotel was clean but the room we stayed in was small which is fairly common for this type of hotel. Our room overlooked a large church and had a small balcony. In the morning we did a very silly tourist-type thing and went to the Holiday Inn across the road for breakfast - fortunately we inspected the menu first - the prices were ridiculous!!!
With the money you save on this hotel you can take lunch at the Negresco which had brought its prices down (for September anyway). The hotel is a very short drive to the airport too.

We booked this hotel because it was recommended by Easyjet. Why, I don't know!. Not so much what was wrong with it, as what was right with it!. Firstly, parking...no carpark although no one had mentioned this to me. We had to park the car down the road at a public car park and pay 2 euros per hour. The carpark does offer reduced parking at night with a further reduction for hotel residents but again, no one had told us and we only realised after 2 days. As far as the room was concerned, the carpets were stained and dirty, and there was a stain on the wall behind the fridge. One of the fridge legs was missing and when the fridge door was opened, the fridge fell forward. There was a hole in the base of the bath and whilst it had been filled with something and therefore waterproof, it was unsightly. We had a little balcony,but the tiled floor was badly damaged and we were a bit worried about safety. The breakfast was meagre, no fruit or cereal, and you have to take your own milk if you want tea. We stayed 4 nights and paid £637, inclusive of car and flights. so I did not think it was particularly cheap... about £70 per night.
