We stayed here on the first part of our honeymoon recently. When we arrived at 1:30pm we were politely informed our sea view room in the 3rd floor was not ready so could we come back in an hour. Our bags were stored and we went for lunch. On our return at 2:45pm we were told that our room still wasn't ready so, without fuss, we were upgraded to a delightful room on the 5th floor. Wow, great view and lovely modern room. We didn't really use any of the hotel facilities as we were always out and about exploring Nice, however all of the staff we came into contact with were polite and helpful. The hotel was very clean with let's of character. It is very well positioned on the Promenade des Anglais. The La Siècle hotel restaurant looks lovely although we didn't use as its a little pricey. Beware local parking charges - they work out expensive. The bus network is good in the city although they don't run very late into the evening. You can walk to the beautiful old town in 20-25 mins though. All in all, we'd recommend the Hotel West End and stay there again.
