Whether you get the full guided tour or just tour the grounds yourself this is a "don't miss" experience. Only two blocks walk from the train depot makes it easy to get to even without a car. The strange love story of Henry and Marie Clews is played out in the garden and interior of this chateau. Interior tours only run at certain times so check the website ahead of time, and they are generally done in French, we lucked out and it was just us, so they provided an english speaking guide. Lunch on the back side of the chateau overlooking the Mediterranean is a must, the food was some of the best we had while in France.
Be sure to bring your swimsuit and towel as there is a free public beach directly behind the chateau.
