Stayed at this property for 5 days. First the location-- it is well located with access to Cannes (about 10 minutes) and the Thales aerospace plant (2 minutes). Public beach is across the street so you don't have to pay the beach access fee so common in Cannes. La Napoule has a number of good restaurants in walking distance so that you don't have to eat at the hotel every night-- but it is a good restaurant! The breakfast was good, consisting of a buffet of scrambled eggs (a bit runny for American taste), sausage, bacon, prosicutto, sliced ham, cheese, various yogurts, cereals, rolls, croissants etc.
Next - the staff-without exception all were friendly, courteous and helpful
The room-- I had a "superieur" room, larger than standard but not a suite. The bed was standard european (two twins pushed together- a little hard-- no box spring) but comfortable enough. Choice of two types of pillows. Small balcony with view out the back. Bathroom was quite large and was, curiously enough, on two levels-- sinks and tub up, toilet and shower three steps down. Still, clean and neat. It was a miserably hot and humid spell while I was there and the Air conditioning maintained the room at a comfortable level. The wall paper and furnishings were neat and in good repair, although a little quaint-- but that was charming in itself.
As most places in Cannes, parking was a bit dicey. There is adequate space available in the front garden if the hotel is not full. There is overflow room in back, but it is a little more difficult to find.
If you do not wish to pay the rates for snacks from the honor bar, there is a small convienence store in the gas station across the street with soft drinks, bottled water etc.
Finally- the rate. I had a corporate and it was extremely reasonable and included breakfast. Still, with the exception of the "grand suites" the rates posted on the rate cards were much lower than the rate shown on trip advisor for a room. I suggest that you go to the hotel web site and check for yourself. The rate shown on trip advisor seems to be for the largest suite during high season-most are much lower.
There are a few rooms on the ground level that open out directly onto the garden parking area-- they seem nice but are small and are much less expensive.
Overall, a fine hotel, very reasonable and I will be staying there again.
