“Fantastic location and staff”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 3, 2012

We stayed in a Triple Superior room with a hotel supplied baby cot for a week at the end of May.

The hotel is in a wonderful location, 5 minutes from the beach and the busy streets with shops, bars, restaurants and the Casino. However despite this, the hotel is very quiet, and situated next to a little park on back street where there is an ample amount of parking.

The staff are very helpful and friendly, all with a good level of English and a high tolerance of our poor French! All of our individual requests were met by the staff quickly and we never felt at any time that we were a burden.

The hotel and gardens are bright, airy and very clean, with the pool area being the perfect area to relax and unwind with good food and drink being served at the bar.

If I was to suggest any improvements, it would be the addition of a fridge in the room, but other than that is was a great week and the hotel and wonderful staff made us all feel very welcome, and we would not hesitate to stay there again.

Our three day stay at this hotel was most enjoyable. The hotel is located less than three minutes fom the beach with easy acess to buses and trains. It is a great base from which to explore the Cote D'Azur, Monaco etc. Our suite was clean and spacious with a high standard of decor. Staff were friendly and accomodating. Language is not an issue as staff speak English, German and Italian. I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel and the heated pool is the icing on the cake.

Room Tip: For a family, the ground floor suite is the room to choose.

I booked this hotel mainly because I had read many positive comments about it being clean. This is instead my main complaint about the hotel, because our room was kind of dirty and smelly. It was also very small, but I think it was ok for what we paid and for the average in the area. We appreciated the staff and the small pool, which was intead very clean (probably recently built or restyled). Not terrible, but not the place you would reccommend to a friend.

The position of the hotel is great, quite but very central, but it needs a large redecoration, which seems to be made end of this year. Nice swimming pool and very kind personal.
Big black flaw: Missing fridge in the room, which in summertime is really needed!!!

Room Tip: large rooms but old..

We stayed here for four nights at the start of our honeymoon. We had a room with a balcony, but it was at the side facing other buildings so we didn't use it.

We loved the pool area, spent most of two of our days there. The bar area is also nice. Didn't eat at the hotel at all as there are many restaurants in the Juan-les-Pins town centre a few minutes walk away through the park. The hotel does a few light lunch options and breakfast. It's a good location as it is very close to the town but there is no noise from it (we were there over a weekend). The staff were friendly.

The room was quite small (but had the essentials), and there isn't a lift, we were on the second floor. We got there from Nice airport using bus 250 (get off at stop La Regence), which runs regularly and is actually a coach. Stops about a mile away - ideal for the able bodied with suitcases with extending handles.

We had a good stay, mainly due to the pool (weather was great).

There are beaches in the town, mainly owned by the attached restaurants, loungers about €10-15 per day, and a small public area. I would recommend a day trip to Monaco, about an hour by train from Juan-les-Pins.

We stayed here in August 2009 and we stayed in the same room as the one in HiJackItlays review. Everything that he said is correct. The hallway is narrow and quite dark, the room is small with little room around the bed and there are bars on the window and blue plastic containers (probably for something to do with the pool) outside the bedroom window. But I have to include the positives which are although it was a bit dated and slightly tatty in places, everything was very clean, the bed was comfortable, the staff very friendly and the pool was great with plenty of sun-beds and towels etc. Also the entire en-suite bathroom was brand new and very tastefully decorated which definitely made up for the dated room. We never ate there because it is so close to the town that it is only a 2 minute walk to breakfast, lunch and dinner.

The reason I am writing this is because I think HiJackItlays review is only focusing on negatives. In 2007 we stayed in the lovely Hotel St Valerie which is on the same street and everything was perfect (except for a ridiculously small pool). It is a lovely place but it is very expensive at approx 250 Euros per night. But hey it's the south of France and very close to Cape D'Antibes so you are going to have to pay a price for any hotel you stay in.

We loved the South of France and particularly Juan les Pins relaxed and slightly kitch character and it's fabulous location for exploring the whole region so we decided ot go back in 2009 but we were on more of a budget that time so we chose Hotel Juan Beach.

My point is at 150 Euros per night, Hotel Juan Beach is very good value in one of the most expensive regions in Europe to holiday and we would definitely stay there again but if youre looking for the perfect room, perfect hotel perfect view and perfect location then I'm sure there are a few hotels in Juan les Pins that will deliver for many times the price you pay here.

This hotel was very welcoming and the staff extremely helpful. It is in a quiet street, yet within a very short walk of the seafront and shops. The pool area was very relaxing! The breakfast was very generous and tasty simple lunches are available. The bedrooms were rather small and old fashioned, but the beds were so comfortable and with the blackout blinds it was a good night's sleep.
