“Well kept hotel in a great area”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 25, 2009

At 45 euros per night (in November 2009) this is an excellent deal. I loved this hotel and will definitely come back. My room was clean, spacious, and well designed. The staff was friendly and everybody spoke English. This is a very nice hotel in a quiet area.

We had booked very last minute and as the hotel owner explained apologetically, we'd got the smallest room as it was the only one left (and the smallest bed, which was a bit short for my 6ft partner). However, despite this, I would thoroughly recommend the hotel for the following reasons (provided you check you're not getting the room with the short bed, if you're tall!):
It's in a great, quiet location but only a few minutes walk from the beach and the shops, the two brothers running the place are extremely helpful, friendly, and made us feel very welcome, the room and the rest of the hotel was clean, decent and good value for the price and it was nice to be somewhere that wasn't part of a big chain.

I'm suprised there are so many good reviews, so perhaps we had a particularly bad room on a particularly bad night, but on arrival I just got the impression we were massively inconveniencing the owners by having the temerity to turn up and stay.

The room was pretty shabby and the cover on the bed was stained, and the hotel itself was fairly noisy.

I admit I'm probably put off as well by the area - the hotel is next to Juan-les-Pins which I found to be absolutely dreadful - a more expensive (and packed) version of how I would imagine Blackpool.

Found this a very comfortable hotel to stay in, with spacious, clean rooms, very friendly staff and a relaxed atmosphere. Would highly recommend this to anyone wanting to stay in a good location in Juan les Pins. Top hotel!

This is a find, the hotel is central, the staff is laid back and very serviceminded. My wife and my son had a great stay. The room (no 19) had a great view, the junior suite was very nice, a big bed for the youngster, bath tub AC and the cutest elevator (according to my son) in France.

Strongly reccomended

We spent 3 nights at this hotel located in a quiet residential street conveniently located less than 5 minutes walk from the restaurant streets and the beach. It is very close also to a small public garden and children playground.
We stayed in one of the large rooms on the third floor, and it was very spacious and bright, with wooden floor. The room had all the basic amenities to make a comfortable stay such as TV (although no international channels), mini-bar and AC. The bathroom was also quite large. We had breakfast in the garden, which is also relaxing in the evening.
This family-run hotel was perfect choice for us, looking for an easy arrangement to enjoy the beach and time out, but with the comfort of a nice room without necessarily being in one of the large chains hotels. We were traveling with a baby and a travel cot was provided.
The two brothers running the hotel are very helpful and they do really care that their guests have a pleasant stay.
I would definitely recommend this three star hotel especially to young people looking for comfort and good value for money.
Please just note that the lift it is quite narrow and there is no parking.

Our stay at the Emeraude was wonderful. We transferred from Nice by bus, got off at the stop La Regence in Jaun les pins and walked to the hotel, which took about 10 mins. Not the best way on a Saturday afternoon as the bus filled up on the way, but at €1 very cheap. On the way back we transferred to the airport by train, the station was 10 mins walk from the hotel and takes 30 mins. You can walk then to the airport or follow the bus 23 arrows on the ground.

On arrival at the hotel we were warmly greeted, and had our room upgraded, but the first night was spent in one of the smaller double rooms clean, with nice view, bath, but a small bed which i didn't fit in. Im tall. The upgraded room was perfect, very large room, top floor, great views, big bed, perfect. Made the week perfect.

The hotel was covered in pink flowers. They offer a good breakfast in the sun, out in the garden.

The two brothers running the hotel do really care about their customers needs. They will arrange everything for you (nights out, barbies, night clubs, restaurants). All you need to do is ask and they sorted it out.

Public beach 5 mins walk, town centre 4 mins walk. Station 10 mins. Day trips to Nice via train, Nice old town is a great day out.
Night life: lively at the weekends, water front bars have beach sofa's over looking the med in the evening

Good Restaurants: Le Perroquet @ €29 fixed 3 course menu. In the Michelin guide. Great value.

We would definitely recommend this hotel. You get all you need at a reasonable price. Not for stuffy people.
