We've been eating in the Brasserie des Iles and its sister restaurant "La Baleine" for a few years now, and are rarely disappointed. The service can be somewhat brusque, after all you are in a major tourist area, but the food, carefully prepared and well presented always hits the mark. The menus are good value, and the choice of meat & fish dishes wide enough to cater for any tastes. The amuse bouches are tasty and refreshing. Last week we celebrated a birthday at the restaurant, and our notoriously picky family all found dishes to please, and were even tempted to try the excellent "fruits de mer". Wine is a bit pricey, but good quality. Well worth it for a romantic or special occasion, but best to reserve in summer as it is always busy.
