“High quality and good value”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 12, 2012

After a delayed flight, discovering that a hired Citroen C1 is a scaled down version of a real car and having problems locating our villa it was a weary band that arrived at Le Provencal. We explained why we were late for our reservation and begged to be allowed to eat. Not only did they agree but the owners generously bought us drinks to help us forget our journey. As others here have said; the food is of a high quality and is very good value. Pescetarian and Omnitarian especially enjoyed rubbing garlic in to their croutes. Thank you again Le Provencal for your food and hospitality

“Excellent Provençal food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 2, 2012 via mobile

No complaints with the food; typically Provençal and quality, fresh ingredients. My main course was imaginative, well presented and tasty. Husband/wife set up, very warm and welcoming, however they would benefit from a further waitress, as ordered items were missed. One to watch though and will certainly be back for more!

“all round excellence”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 30, 2012

what a wonderful evening we had last night in this new and magical find in the middle of the port. The service is excellenct, and the delight to tell us about the menu was wonderful. The food was brilliant - clean fresh flavours and beautifully presented. The restaurant is small and prides itself on only doing one sitting - book early as so many keen diners were turned away What makes this place special is the truly personal experience you receive - totally absent from nearly all the other port restaurants and yet recreated here with such style.. As we left after enjoying a rather fine lemoncello
both the chef and his wonderful wife rushed out to say goodbye. We are returning next week and already looking forward to another Le Provencal experience. The Woodall Family
