“Enjoy the best part of France”

It's a very beautiful and clean hotel. The price might be a little bit more, but definitely worth it! They produce their own wine, which is very good in my opinion. The hotel has a big venue for receptions and wedding parties, and during our stay there were 2. The staff asked us if we wanted another room for the night of the wedding party, but for us it wasn't necessary as the hotel is well isolated. But it was a very kind gesture! The pool is excellent and you can even book a massage in the morning or evening. We also tried the restaurant, but to be honest we expected a little bit more. Also, for long stays, the breakfast buffet was not extensive enough. Nonetheless, this is certainly a hotel we can recommend!

Stopped there one night on our way to Cannes and had an amazing time. The location is just outside Frejus, off a busy road near the highway. However, the place was really relaxing and quiet. The little swimming pool between vines and olive trees was very enjoyable, the room (and the amazing bathroom) was very stylish and clean. The whole place has definitely a classy feeling. The staff were efficient and helpful. We felt very welcomed and they set up a baby bed for our 6 month old son. I can't complete this review without mentioning the restaurant! We had the best experience! I seriously recommend it. Before leaving the hotel we stopped by their shop to purchase a couple of rosé bottles as a souvenir for this excellent time spent at La Bastide Du Clos !

Room Tip: Had the Confort room, very quiet on the ground floor (good for the buggy!) with a nice little outsid...

This place must be relatively new, a) because it looks it, b) because friends of mine who live in Frejus had never heard of it, and c) because although we booked relatively late in the piece, they actually had availability. Once you get off the main road, the setting is delightful. I particularly enjoyed all the sculptures that are nicely placed here and there around the property. The food at the restaurant was absolutely amazing: some of the best I've had in France! (the opera de fois gras as an entrée was particularly memorable) Very good wine too. Our room (the family suite) was comfortable, although some of the set up/layout is a little strange: the aircon blows straight onto your face if you are lying on the bed, and there is only one toilet for the two rooms, which would have been fine if it had been accessible without having to walk through the open-plan bathroom to get to it (effectively meaning that if you want any privacy between family members, you only have one toilet to play with). The only other problem we had was arriving slightly later than normal check-in time, meaning that the hotel staff had left for the day, and the restaurant staff forgot to pass on a crucial piece of information: the gate to the property is locked (at 10pm I think), so if you come back late, you need the code! Fortunately for us, I had internet access and some very nice person whose number was listed on the website had left their phone on at 1am...otherwise I'm not quite sure what we would have done! It can also be hard to find this address on a GPS: make sure you get good instructions from staff for your arrival. Prices are quite expensive, but the quality does match the price. Merci pour tout!

Room Tip: Family room is very nicely decorated and comfortable, but the bathroom/toilet set up is a little str...

This was the best hotel we stayed in whilst touring the Cote d'Azur. Although the winery next to the hotel is ultra-modern looking with some rather strange (and very expensive!) sculptures in the grounds, the actual hotel is something else! Our room was fabulous, overlooking the terrace and swimming pool and decorated in a modern, but rustic style all of its own. We had a huge four-poster bed and the bathroom was amazing with a huge walk-in shower, 2 sinks, L'Occitane cosmetics, loads of fluffy towels and bathrobes and even slippers! And the bath - personally I would have been happy to sleep in the bath! We spent the afternoon relaxing by the pool with a couple of glasses of their own wine and finished the day off with a superb meal eaten on the terrace. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. If you are going near Frejus, don't miss this place!

We stayed at CdR for 3 nights at Easter 2012 whilst on a tour along the Cote d'Azur. 2 kids in tow (5 & 3 years). A v.warm welcome & staff could not have been more accomodating! Additional bed installed for our 3 year old no problem. Friendly welcome. Delightful setting among the vines. A gastronomic delight - the ingredients of the highest quality expertly cooked with flair. I'd love to do a cookery course here! Not the cheapest place I've ever eaten but good value in view of the high standard of the cuisine. Rooms very well appointed, chic & comfortable - more hotel standard than the B&B classification the listing suggested. We enjoyed exploring the domain - the winery, the little chapel & wandering through the vines. There was even a gastronomic fair in the domain during our stay so a lot of degustations for us (& several trips on ponies round the estate!) Shame the weather wasn't warm enough to tempt me into the pool! We were looking for a B&B that wouldn't mind kids which offered food in the evenings. We found a foodie's gem with a boutique hotel feel. We'd love to return for a repeat experience!

Room Tip: We had the interconnecting rooms (like a suite) - us in one, kids in the other. Very spacious &...

We stayed at the hotel for 2 nights after a couple of days in Nice. It was very easy to find in the dark and it's a truly lovely spot. Staff were charming and helpful. Breakfast on the terrace was idyllic. We ate a wonderful 3 course set lunch which put the overpriced and rather touristy offerings in Frejus harbour to shame in terms of price and quality. The kitchen is an open style affair where they apparently do cookery courses which I imagine are wonderful. Pool was great and we loved wondering around the vines and tasting the wine they produce there which is very drinkable and good value. They were getting the grape harvest in on the day we left and they were quite happy to let us have a look around and explain the process of wine production. The rooms are very striking. Start concrete in contrast with regency style upholstery. Don't expect ant English speaking channels on the telly or a phone in your room. But you will get total peace and tranquility. In short, it's lovely.

Room Tip: We were upgraded to room 7. large balcony. Huge shutters to keep put the sun
