This hike is a must if you're staying anywhere in the Nice area. The Nietzsche Path is the best way to get to old Eze village from the train station located down by the coast. (The train from Gare SNCF in Nice to the stop Eze-sur-Mer is only about 14 min and 2.60 Euro one way.) I visited in mid-March and even then the views from the trail were amazing. The path winds through large gorges and takes about 1h10min to climb. While it is quite a workout, it is not so challenging that the majority of people can't enjoy it. Good shoes (which you don't mind beating up a little) are highly recommended. The path is well marked and provides a very peaceful climb. By the time you visit Eze and climb back down, you will be worn out, so I don't recommend planing anything else for this day. This hike itself has probably been my favorite thing I have done since visiting Nice and I would do it again in a heartbeat.
