“Breathtaking views.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 20, 2014

Quiet little medieval village in the South of France. Beautiful views make stunning photographs. The higher you go the better the view. If you like arts and culture you can spend hours browsing through all the shops. Great Perfumery perfect for little gifts for family and friends - exceptionally knowledgable and friendly staff in the perfumery.

“lovely !”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 20, 2014

the old town is small and cute, with narrow streets.
Streets are bit steep , so I would skip the flip flops on this visit!
The exotic gardens are amazing, small fee to pay ( 6 euros at the time) but definitely worth it!

“The old town was lovely an worth the climb!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 19, 2014

There is a lot of climbing involved to see the old village but it is lovely and worth the effort. You have to pay to get into the exotic garden and castle ruins but it was worth a visit for the nice atmosphere and great views.

“Afternoon visit.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 19, 2014

We stopped at Eze on our way back from Monte carlo late in the afternoon. The small medieval town of Eze is beautiful with many small shops and restaurants perched high on top a hill and worth visiting if you are in the south of France. It offers beautiful views of the sea and surrounding areas. Also has a beautiful private garden which has an entry fee but its free to visit the town.
The tourist info center is right by the main car park and very helpful.

“Beautiful stone village with lots of shops.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 13, 2014

We were en route from Monaco to Nice via the side roads when we came across this medieval stone village perched atop a 1,500-foot high promontory overlooking the beautiful Mediterranean Sea. We decided to pull off the road into a pay-for-parking lot adjoining the village. It was a long climb, but this former Phoenician dwelling place provided magnificent views and interesting little cobblestone streets and stone buildings. Nearly 3,000 people live here today, most of whom seem to own or work in the 2,500 shops lining the streets. OK, there were not 2,500 shops, but it did seem the place was totally commercialized. Without those shops, we would rate it 5 stars. During our stay in the area, two such villages topped this one: Gourdon and St. Paul de Vence, both of which are a beautiful drive northwest of Nice. We recommend you check those out as well.
