4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 18, 2012

A suite on the seventh floor of this hotel was booked for me by my client for a business trip and to be honest, I feared the worst. Contrary to all my expectations, I was actually delighted to be staying here. The suite was very spacious and comfortable and well put together in an attractive funky utilitarian sort of way and included a discreetly built in microwave and fridge, the bathroom had a big bath and walk-in shower. The towels could have been a bit fluffier, the products a bit better quality and it would have perhaps been nice to have a robe but in essence everything was perfectly adequate. I liked the organic teas and muffins that were replaced in the room every day and the fact that it was always spotlessly clean. The breakfast, all organic and nutritionally balanced, was great for me although I can appreciate that it's not necessarily a man's type of breakfast with no choice of eggs, just boiled eggs. The location is great, very central, and I found the staff pleasant and helpful. This hotel is a practical, convenient and adequately comfortable accommodation solution, thoroughly pleasant albeit without frills.

Room Tip: Suite 704 is nice and spacious

The location is good and room size was large for europe. BUT the service was a disaster! I was in town for ILTM - and experienced the following:

1) They did not make my wake call two of the three mornings.

2) Housekeeping didnt pay any attention to my "do not disturb" signs - two of the three days i came back to the room from work, and it was fully cleaned. They just ignored the sign i put out each morning.

3) Here is my favorite - a friend came to see me at the hotel, and asked for me at reception - they told him my room number and gave him a KEY to my room. All he did was ask for me by name, and they gave him full access. Scary, glad i didnt have a homicidal arch enemy in town!

4) the overnight front desk agent was a very rude guy.

5) The wifi and wired internet was horrible. it reminded me of a dial up modem speed in the 1990's. 5 mins to load google.

Thanks! RD

Our family of 5 spent two nights in this hotel. We took advantage of the special rate for two family rooms. I booked online and it was a little confusing so I ended up booking 3 rooms by accident. The gentleman at the reception desk was very kind and helpful in adjusting our reservation with no penalty. I was surprised that he only spoke French to me. His name tag showed that he spoke Italian and English as well and it was obvious that I am not a native French speaker.

The rooms were very spacious. The decor was a bit odd and the bathrooms were prefabricated. The rooms were in desperate need of a more thorough cleaning. They were pretty dusty and the corners of the bathroom were not very clean. The shower took ten minutes to heat up in the morning. The breakfast was sparse and was served in the lounge area. This was awkward as the tables were not big enough for the trays and the chairs were too deep to sit up and eat neatly. The other option was to eat on the patio and fight with the very aggressive pigeons.

All that being said, the location was walking distance to the water, the beds were very comfortable and the price could not be beat. With the special price we paid less than 450 Euros for two nights in two rooms. I would recommend a short weekend stay. I could not imagine having to stay here for a week at a time. There is a parking garage next to the hotel and they only charge 8 Euros per night. Be ware- if you have a big car the garage is extremely tight.

Great location, only 10 mins walk to main area of restaurants etc. reduced car parking charge is great 8 euros per day. room was large and well equipped for a family. Good wifi, and Internet TV. Breakfast is the only weakness, with the tables not been cleared quickly and the resident pigeons swoop in and eat the left overs.
Cannes is great place and the hotel is great for a family.
