“Good Cannes find”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 17, 2012

Given how crazily expensive everywhere is in South France, we were pleased to stumble upon this place as a last minute booking. The rooms are decadent and lovely, the hotel staff were lovely and the positioning is perfect at the far end of La Croisette so everything was very walkable. A big handy point was the free public car parking right outside of the hotel, and although it was too cold for us to swim in May, it was a cute little cooling off pool in the dainty garden as well. All in all, quite a sophisticated choice and enjoyable.

My boyfriend and I had a quick trip to the south of France and we made the perfect choice by staying at La Villa in Cannes. We are both fans of Boutique hotels and this one definitely qualifies as one of the best we know. The rooms were extremely clean and modern. The facilities were state of the art, and the pool was smaller but exquisite. They had breakfast served by the pool in the garden area, and we were served by extremely helpful and polite staff. The seating area around the pool was really cozy as you felt you were in your own luxury villa.
The hotel is located only steps away from La Croisette with access to the beaches and shopping.
Everything we hoped for was there and we will definitely be back!

Room Tip: The hotel is composed are two adjacent villa buildings were you can find larger sized suites in one...

We love the hotel, is very cozy and very well located a block away from the beach, the neighborhood is very quiet, we had an ocean view room it was beautiful, the rooms are small but very pretty, comfortable & clean, the hotel has a lovely pool and very nice common areas, the service was wonderful, and if you are traveling by car you can park in front of the hotel for free. We went with my family on April 2012 and the price was excellent 110 Euros per night. Also all the staff speaks English and they are very nice, every time we wanted to go to a nice restaurant they always give us good recommendations and help us with the reservations & directions.

Room Tip: Choose a room with ocean view

Only one block from the Croisette, the Hotel La Villa offers a comfortable accommodation at a relatively reasonable price. The rooms are spacious, well appointed and the service is courteous.
Our party spent the Easter holidays at La Villa and found the experience quite pleasurable. One small negative details negates a five star: the 18 euros breakfast was not quite what one would expect for about $ 25.00.

Room Tip: The front building has partial ocean view. Rear building is quiet. Free WiFi is a plus even though...

The positive things are only 3 - location (at the end of Croisette, but it's a short walk from the centre), price and cozy rooms and garden.
4* quality is supported only by slippers and change of the towels. The rest - is stable 3*.

One negative moment - if you ask for the taxi and airport transfer price at the reception, you can't be sure that the taxi will cost you the same money as was stated. Also we asked twice to fix the wardrobe in the room and - no chance))

This property was grossly overpriced for what it delivered. the pool had green slime on the walls and disgusting. Food was extremely expensive. suggestions for tours etc poor mis information provided. Better information given out of accomodation in Nice. The whole accomodation is grossly overrated and extremely expensive for what it delivers. Cannot believe it and very disappointed.

Room Tip: way too expensive for what it delivers

We chose this hotel based on its closeness to the Croisette. Although we were not sure, how much the train line, which runs across the street would effect our stay, we were pleasantly surprised that in the rooms it was not an issue. In garden/pool area the noise from the trains was noticeable, but it wouldn't put us off, from visiting again.

We stayed for a week in a garden suite. Both the room and bathroom was comfortable in size. We had a double bed plus an extra bed for our child. The room was cleaned properly, although the sheets/bedding were not changed during our stay and the shower gels and shampoos were not replaced on a regular basis.

Breakfast is served in the garden and is a continental affair. Whilst the food was good, service was hit and miss at times - although not at a level that would cause us any issue.

I wouldn't recommend the lunch/dinner menu at the hotel, it was not very good. The pizza was delivered from a small take away place just down the road from the hotel and wasn't particularly tasty.

All in all, we had a good stay and would be back again, even though the hotel may be a bit on the pricey side in the high season for what it offers.
