“Could be and should be a great hotel but........”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 20, 2012

Everything about The Pullman has all the marks of a good hotel. Good attentive staff. Excellent front desk. Good size rooms and great views. A restaurant which produces good food (although not always consistent), so that it's not always necessary to hunt for outside restaurants. A clean and good size swimming pool. Plenty of room to soak up the sun but put a towel down early for your preffered sun loungers.
Good outside bar and menu but sometimes under staffed. Probably one of the best views and position of any hotel in the South of France.
We parked our hire car on the road ouside the hotel. The charge for valet parking is 12 euroes per day.
The one BIG problem that this hotel has is that they have seminars and conferences and private functions. To my mind this is not condusive to a relaxing mix staying in an expensive hotel. We understand that times are difficult and it is necessary to maximise turnover but is it a hotel or a conferrence centre with rooms? The design and the build of the hotel means that several of the areas are shared by paying guests and various seminar / conference groups.
This doesnt apparently cause a problem in high season, July and most of August.. but we were really affected for three nights and to a lesser extent during the day... out of the seven days we stayed at the end of August/early Setember.... by a group of approx hundred people for a four or five day seminar.
We had to call a meeting with the manager one morning who in fairness dealt with the lack of control of the previous nights, after our meeting.
It is a good place to stay but DO check what is happening ie events etc during your required dates/stay, so that you do not have the problems that we had.

Room Tip: Try not to have a room above or near the rear door of the hotel to the pool and outside bar as every...

Wow. I have stayed in plenty of hotels but this is the first one that has made me so angry to leave my very first review. Your alarm bells should be ringing as soon as you enter an 'industrial estate' - leave at this point if you can. This hotel has no facilities to speak of, with the exception of a tiny pool. Apart from that, everything is wrong about this place. The staff weren't helpful - in fact treated me with disgust as I inconvenienced them by mentioning my bed was covered with long hairs when I first went in and could it be cleaned? Then I was charged 50Euro - yep, 50 - to borrow a UK plug adaptor; which didn't really matter anyway as only 1 socket worked in the room - the rest were pulled out from the walls. When I asked for someone to come and have a look at the sockets the woman on reception put the phone down on me.
Another to point out with this hotel is how they have let a blind person decorate. Most walls are pebble dashed in different colours - all clashing. Bright pink beds on red carpet anyone? The whole room has the look of a 1970's English B&B - everything is so basic and dated.

One word - revolting.

Room Tip: Pick one in a different hotel.

This is one of the weirdest hotels I've ever stayed at...located on an industrial estate, not convenient to anything, and if you order a taxi, since there are none there, there is a high charge for the taxi driver's journey for them to come pick you up! The oddest thing was that the bathroom door was an accordion/folding partition door -- and it didn't even close fully. They were definitely trying to cut corners at this hotel, but to not be able to put real doors in? It was clean and seems fairly new, pool was nice, but it is not in Cannes and it is not easy access to the beach.
