“Hidden Gem”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 7, 2014

This restaurant is in the recently renovated and pedestrianised area adjacent to the shopping street La Rue d'Antibe so parking now is a bit of a problem and you are well advised to go in the Palais car park. (You can get some sort of refund on this cost if you go first earlier in the day to the Tourist Office in the Palais.) But let's talk about the restaurant, which is bistrot in size but not in the standard of the food. It is excellent with a daily set menu using the fresh produce of the market. The maître de explains all the courses to you and will make adjustments for allergies etc. First class cooking of fine food with every mouthful a delight. Service was friendlyand good and excellent choice of wines. From time to time we saw the chef appearing over the bar as his kitchen was adjacent to it.

“Set menu in an intimate setting - loads of culinaries surprises”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 18, 2014

David, the son in law of the chef greets you like you are family explaining each dish with precision but not before he understands your food issues. The chef serves up the freshest food tailored each day, but always has on hand alternatives. They offer local wines and wine specials each day. Come hungry to this multi-course meal! I've been several times and have never been disappointed!

“BISTRO GREAT FOOD - GOOD SERVICE”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 18, 2014

I went there three times in 5 years. As I am leaving abroad I cannot go there many times but for sure this is the style of food and service I like. The boss Mr Bruno is an excelletn chef who used to work in several restaurants with 2 and 3 star michelin but he was tired to work so hard for...others. To open this bistro it was really a challenge as he is working alone with his son in law, and the team of two can serve only few customers a day. I didnt see any menu, they propose you the dishes of the day, with right cooking and excellent food the chef purchased on market every day...a great time and acceptable price.

“Un bon restau comme on les aime!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 28, 2014

Here is a restaurant where you get very fine and fresh food, a very warm welcome. The menu is set and you just enjoy a succession of nice dishes prepared with a lot of care. The owner and waiter is very friendly and makes that place even more friendly.
Don't think, just go!

“A true "Chef's table" experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 27, 2014

Tucked away in a side street, just off the Rue D'Antibes - I would never have known about this restaurant, as I am not a "local" and had it not been featured on Trip Advisor.

So glad I found it. I dropped in for lunch and was impressed and delighted my the limited choice of lunch menu, but freshly prepared from produce bought that morning in Canne's Marche Fortville. The "rilliettes" de sardines starter was beautifully matched with beetroot, spinach and a tangy vinaigrette. The main course was a variation of "blanquette de veau" served with mash potatoes. The flavour of the veal was excellent and a delightfully creamy & smooth mash. Dessert was a "soupe" of exotic fruits with raspberries - absolutely divine.
Service was friendly and efficient - the waiter was knowledgeable about what was on the menus and recommended an excellent red Cotes de Provence to accompany the meal.
I will definitely return on my next visit to Cannes.
