“Wonderful hotel in a wonderful city”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 19, 2014

My friend and I stayed in the Park and Suites Hotel in Cannes where we discovered a hotel that is within a short distance of the beach and all the attractions that make this a truly unique city.
We got a junior suite overlooking the outdoor pool and garden, where there are sun beds and easy access to the restaurant.
The staff here just couldn't do enough for us and when there was a language problem they went and found someone who could speak English. They were knowledgeable about the city and its many attractions.
Breakfast was excellent but somewhat dear, However because the rooms have kitchens, fridges and tea and coffee making facilities you can always sort out your own breakfast with a well stocked small supermarket just around the corner.
Loved the hotel, the staff and Cannes and will definitely go back again.

Room Tip: The hotel has great offers and the best time to visit Cannes is definitely out of season when you ge...

Everything went well during our stay and my wife and I enjoyed our stay here. On our first morning we were woken up by very noisy roadworks outside of our room. After speaking with a member of staff we were moved to a much quieter room facing the pool. Rooms are well presented and well equipped and the self catering facilities are very useful if you are looking to prepare your own meals.

The reason that this hotel gets a poor review is due to their poor post stay customer service. After checking out we realized that we had left some valuable items in the the room safe. After contacting the hotel we were advised that they would check with housekeeping and that they would call us back-we never were contacted. An email was also sent but was not replied to as it was an old address which was not used anymore-why is it still listed on the website then? Several days later we managed to speak with a staff member who did not know anything about our inquiry as they were night staff. The next day we finally spoke with someone who advised us that nothing had been found.

We are 100% sure that we we left these items in the room safe and accept some responsibility for leaving things behind. However, I would expect a hotel which rates itself as 'four star' to have procedures in place for logging lost property inquiries so that all front desk staff (including night staff) are aware of whats happening.

Given that nothing was found I can only make the following assumptions:

1. housekeeping did not check the safe while cleaning the room and next guests to stay in the room found the items and were dishonest and kept the items.

2. A member of staff found the items and kept them (theft).

3. The items have been found but due to a lack of proper procedures they were unable to locate the found items.

4. The items are still in the safe.

If the hotel resolves this issue I will happily update my review but for now I would warn anyone wanting to stay here to be very careful with their property as they will not get anything back if it is left in the room after checking out!

Great hotel, we have stayed here for about 8 years running (a work event), and it has changed and grown in that time.

Lovely friendly staff, very welcoming.

Very comfortable place, nice pool.
Easy to walk to anywhere, though the old town is a good 20mins away.

Room Tip: Ask for a room facing the pool, the road can be noisy when they empty the trash.

After deciding to extend our stay in Cannes for an extra night, and having already checked out of our prior location, we were glad to find a room at this hotel. Since there were 3 of us, we ended up with a small suite (double bed with a sofa bed option) for right around €200. Not super cheap, but considering the location and the fact that most hotels right around the corner charge two to three times that, I can't complain.
Everything about that stay was basic and simple. We booked online. When I arrived, the lady at the front desk could not find me because the system had not refreshed yet. She remained polite and finally found my reservation, after I provided the reservation number from my email. We opted for the €16/day parking, which, in that area of town, was a must. The room was well equipped. All basic amenities, plus a small, but decently sized fridge, 2 electric stove tops, dishwasher, and a sink. So technically, you could cook for yourself if you wanted..but you are in Cannes, plenty of great places to eat!
We did not enjoy the pool area, but had a clear view from our room, and it is very nice and inviting. Of course, the beach is minutes away by foot, so I would have no need for the pool.
Overall, a nice and comfortable stay. I would certainly stay there again.

Stayed a week with friends. Good rooms although a bit strange with self catering facilities and nowhere in room to eat. Weren't given choice through Travel sphere for room with balcony which is a shame as it was much quieter and somewhere to eat and drink. Rooms weren't double glazed so if you get a rear room this will be recommended and I would gave given a higher rating. Lovely breakfast and very helpful and polite staff.

Stayed here for 7 nights recently. Hotel is well placed at one end of the Croisette and only 2 blocks (ie 5 mins walk) from the beach. Price was reasonable given its location. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Had a large room with a separate lounge area and a small self catering kitchen where you could make your own meals. The area is close to lots of restaurants from the relatively cheap to the very expensive. Sometimes a bit noisy with traffic, trains and people but if you want quiet then Cannes is probably not a good place to stay. Get a room facing the internal pool area/courtyard if you are a light sleeper. Pool area was nice with lots of banana lounges to lay on. Pool is not heated so was a bit chilly given it was starting to cool off. Overall a good stay and I would happily stay here again.

Room Tip: Rooms overlooking the pool area/courtyard should be quieter than those facing the street.

We found this conveniently-placed, well-run American-style establishment through the BA website. We were looking for a reasonably-priced hotel in which to stay the night before driving up to the villa we had booked along the coast between Cannes and Saint Tropez, with a secure car park as we had picked up a car at Nice airport. At €133 per night for a twin room, this hotel seemed to fit the bill. For one thing, for anyone driving from Nice it’s at the right end of town, and easy to find as it is on the Rue du Latour Maubourg, onto which one turns right at the Hotel Martinez (assuming the quadruple-parked Mercs of the celebs outside leave you space to do so). For another, it is very user-friendly – check-in took about five minutes, enabling one of us to cover that while the other parked just outside ready to go round the corner to the entrance of the parking garage. The room we had, a ‘classic suite’ in the hotel’s terminology, was of reasonable size with twin beds and a small balcony. It also benefitted from a small kitchen space with coffee machine, fridge, sink, and – handy if one is doing a lot of eating in during a longer stay – dishwasher plus crockery. There is no restaurant, though there is a room service offering and also what looked like a perfectly nice breakfast room (I can’t comment on the quality of the food as we ate out both in the evening and in the morning). All the staff were friendly and helpful at all times.

One or two points to note. 1. The air conditioning seemed to function OK, but the room was still too hot most of the time. Given it was the second half of September, this was easily resolved by opening the window overnight, but that might not be the case in July or August. 2. It’s not immediately apparent, but the hotel has a perfectly adequate outdoor pool in a small garden at the back, which enhances its attraction further if one is staying longer.

My only other observation is that if I were staying in Cannes for any length of time, I wouldn’t stay at this end of town. I think the old town, at the other end of the Croisette, is much nicer; but that’s a personal preference and not a reflection on this hotel.
