Very well situated hotel near the Croisette. The rooms with balcony and bistro furnitures are decents. Its a small and friendly hotel. A lot of tourist from England.
Do not take a room without a view or a balcony you will feel claustrophobic.

An Oasis in Cannes is the best way I can describe this hotel. We stayed two nights. It is small and clean with a friendly staff. Our balcony overlooked the lush garden that surrounded the entry walk. Fair rate. I liked the hotel better than the city which was extremely crowded and needlessly expensive. I would stay at the Hotel de Provence again if I was in the area.
We stayed at the Hotel de Provence in May 2004. The hotel is a bargain for a room so close to the beach, which is about two blocks from the hotel, and right in the heart of Cannes. Our room on the 3rd floor had a balcony that we could sit on and have breakfast in the morning overlooking the garden below. There are no ocean views from the hotel because of the large hotels on the oceanfront. The room was moderate in size, very clean, with an unusually spacious bathroom for an older hotel, which is very uncommon in France. The decor in our room was nothing special, but not unattractive either. The desk staff are very friendly and helpful and all of them spoke excellent english, which is more than I can say about my command of french. I would definitely stay here again.
