“Very Good Location & Very Clean Boutique Hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 30, 2012

This boutique hotel is situated on the Rue de Antibes, the main shopping street in Cannes and within walking distance to the main beach front. (3 minutes walk)

The hotel has its own pool
which is difficult to find in Cannes hotels and had a nice terrace area to have drinks before you go out or to have breakfast or lunch.

We had a traditional room which was very clean and carpet that was so soft it must have been new. We were overlooking the busy street but this didnt bother us as we didnt hear any noise at night. The room had solid blackout curtains as well which helped and the TV had BBC1 if you wanted to catch up on whats going on at anytime. The bedroom was smallish but it was perfectly decorated and the bathroom was very very nice and modern.

There was also free wi-fi which was nice considering you have to pay for everything in Cannes.

Overall I was pretty impressed with the hotel and would recommend it to friends.

Excellent location
Very clean and modern designed rooms
Nice friendly staff
Nice bar and Terrace
Small but nice pool area (it was off peak time)

Room Tip: We didnt get any noise from Rue De Antibes which the room overlooked so dont worry

Just back from a short break at Le Canberra so I can report as a well seasoned traveller that this boutique hotel is a great place to stay in Cannes. It is located in the heart of the main shopping district and is only a 5 minute walk down to the beach and a 10-15 minute walk to the port. The hotel is spotless, the rooms are a good size with those lovely fluffy towels which make one feel comforted. Service is excellent and helpful. The downside for me is the small pool and garden area which is quite exposed although this is a small personal niggle as I do not always like sitting at the beach. I would definitely return here next time I visit Cannes.

Room Tip: Pool side rooms are sunny all day as they are South facing over the garden and the square beyond.

We spent 5 nights in Le Canberra. Room is great, very clean and comfortable. Service was very good and the pool/breakfast deck is very pleasant.

The best thing about this hotel is it's location. It's directly on Rue d'Antibes, and a couple minutes walk from the Croisette.

Will stay at this hotel again if in Cannes.

Had a great stay in Cannes at Le Canberra last week. Boutique style hotel. Very nice room, great service. 5 minute walk to the Croisette and 10 min walk right into the centre of town. Will return & recommend.

Le Canberra is a small (40 rooms) recently refurbished hotel situated right on the shopping street Rue d'Antibes, with a five minute walk to the Croisette and maybe fifteen minutes to the old town.

The reception was nothing but smiles, and earned extra points when they ran out to buy umbrellas to lend to the guests during some rainy days. They had great recommendations for restaurants, and didn't complain when we asked for yet another code for the Wifi. The Internet solution is our only negative for the hotel. Each login is specific for the device - and as this was a combination of work and holiday I needed one for the iPhone, iPad, Mac and Kindle - and my husband for his phone, ipad and pc. That should be unnecessary.

They have a small patio where you can enjoy their breakfast buffet, lunch or afternoon drinks. The breakfast consisted of omelettes, eggs, sausages, bacon, some cold cuts and cheese, yoghurts and of course bread and croissants. Perfect (except that the omelettes looked like something you would be served on a plane).

The pool is quite small, but does it's job - and a few sun beds are available. The beautiful beach is only minutes away if they are taken.

The rooms were comfortable, clean and with a carpet so comfortable that it soothed sore feet after touring the city. Would absolutely stay here again - and recommend it for couples and travelling with friends!

Room Tip: Best view is overlooking the pool. Most likely the most quiet too, but you will not be disturbed muc...

Everything at Le CANBERRA lived up to our expectations. We had a Junior Suite with a Pool view...the Hotel is perfectly located on Rue de Antibes, with shopping, restaurants and the beach within easy walking distance. Definately not our last stay!!

When we arrived in Cannes we werent sure what to make of the hotel at first, it's just a door entrance on rue D'antibes, however from the moment we entered to the moment we left it was fantastic. The room was amazing, we did get upgraded to a suite though! The location was perfect for a short walk to the beach, and ideal for shopping. The staff were so helpful at every step.

If you go to Cannes gave this place a chance. The cheese plate was amazing too!!
