“Small but comfortable, good location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 2, 2013

Do not expect a large room. It is only comfortable enough for 1 person, however, given that the price was most reasonable, it was fair value.

Staff was really friendly, both at reception and the breakfast area but services are really pretty minimal. However, given the location, one could always go to the opposite cafe for a meal.

My only gripe is the wifi in the room - perhaps due to the location (I was given a corner room), i had to stand at the door to get a decent signal. Of course, if you want a strong signal, go to the lobby!

Overall, the room was clean and basic, sufficient to my needs for a short stay.

I'm not going to argue about it being a 4-star or not, I'll let you decide: friendly reception, breakfast is ok (but nothing more), very central location, small rooms (I had 502), but free in-room coffee/tea maker, overall very clean and slow but free wifi. The only thing that I REALLY didn't like were the plastic matrass covers, this ensures a very sweaty night and is very "low budget hotel". Luckily I was on a bussiness trip so I could sleep on a duvet (not to feel the plastic) and under the duvet from the second single bed, but not good if you want to call yourself 4-star!

I stayed there for the festival of Cannes and I saved myself a lot of time because it is so close to the Festival.
Please take in account it is a very small hotel (bedrooms and bathrooms are small) but quite clean and tidy.
I would not book for a long stay though cause the price value will then not apply. But for 1 or 2 nights it is perfect. Do not hesitate.

Room Tip: Take in mind that in France they are changing the star ranking this year (a red inscription means it...

I was only in Cannes for one night but this hotel is very well located to Rue Antibes where there are a lot of shops and also the beach.

The room was a decent size with a large bathroom.

As you are in the center you do get to here some noise late at night but by that time you are either out partying or asleep

Room Tip: great size for couples and solo travellers

5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 4, 2012

Stayed at this hotel from 18th September to 25th September 2012 and it is a lovely hotel. It is right in the centre of Cannes just round the corner from the main shopping street and about 150 yards from the La Croisette which is the main beach area. Our room was small but adequate enough for our needs and overlooked the hotel entrance, there is an irish bar about 10 metres from the hotel where we often stopped for a nice drink, it gets quite crowded outside at times. It can get quite noisy but we were on the 5th floor so the noise did not bother us too much. Breakfast is very much the same every morning but nicely presented and quite adequate. The train station is about 10 minutes walk and we used this quite often to visit Nice and Monaco (Monte Carlo). The Cote D'zur is a beautiful place and well worth the visit, although restuarants are many they can be quite pricy.

Room Tip: We had a room on the 5th floor (504) which was quite good.

Great location. If you're coming in by train you can walk to your hotel. It's approximately 2 blocks from the beach and it's a great shopping area. Restaurants are all scattered around the area within walking distance. We loved the fresh fruit market right behind the hotel every morning and they had a great flea market every other day that had the best deals on pashmina scarfs and ladies shoes. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We had a double room which was a good size by European standards. It was very clean and well kept and it had an espresso maker in the room. Housekeeping was very accommodating with extra coffee and milk. Stayed 3 nights and would not hesitate to stay again.
