“Super place to stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 13, 2013

The drive up from Cagnes-sur-Mer is so worth it once you arrive. The peace and the views are outstanding. We had the Plein Sud room for 5 nights in early October and woke up to beautiful sun rises and views to the south (Mediterranean).

Frederic is an absolutely charming host, his breakfasts are lovely and he is a wonderful source of advice and ideas about things to do and places to go. Recommend this as a place to base yourself if you want to be out of the hustle and bustle of Nice itself (which is only 15 minutes away anyway).

Thanks Frederic for a great stay. Hopefully we get back to Cote d'Azur in the future from New Zealand.

Room Tip: Ask for Plein Sud or Plein Ciel (top floor with a Terrace)

I thought this place was perfect for our stay in the Nice area. We don't really like to be right in the middle of the action, and, this was ideal. 10 minute drive from Nice, and 5 minute drive from Haut de Cagne (which is just beautiful)!

We were there in mid-Oct., and, when we would come home at night, we would open the windows, and would have an amazing breeze for a few minutes before closing them to sleep!

Frederic is a nice guy to chat with, and was very helpful in giving ideas on what to do/see. Every day, our breakfast would end with him helping us plan our route for the day!

Room Tip: Second floor rooms have amazing breezes at night, and in the a.m.

We spent only one night here but it was a lovely introduction to South of France. So close to the airport but with the feeling of not being right in the city.
Up on a hill with beautiful views out onto the ocean.
The host Frederic, was very friendly and made us feel at home.

Room Tip: Top room with the balcony

2 of 5 stars Reviewed May 3, 2011

We stayed at the B& B for a night in April. I am disappointed considering that the b&b was quite pricey. When we came there was no one there to meet us, after telephoning and inguiring how we could get in to the villa and get our pre-booked, pre-paid rooms, the rooms were not clean. This was late afternoon, after five, so it would have been resonable to be able to check in. Then there was no toilet paper in the bathroom. The bathroom didn't have a door - it opens straight into the bedroom.
The breakfast was good - and we got it in time to catch our early flight home. This was nice - but didn't compensate for the hassle about accessing the rooms and having them cleaned.
Probably the villa is nicer in the summer when you can use the pool - but to me it is important that rooms are clean, and that I don't have to work too much to access the b&b. The owner could easily have phoned us, and given instructions. And the rooms should have been cleaned ready to check in to at five in the afternoon. The kitchen that guests can use was also not cleaned - it resembled more of a youth hostel standard. Considering the price I find that disappointing.

We go to Antoline every year and really appreciate the quiteness of the venue and warm welcome. Reallyy worth the price for the value delivered. And... ideally located for visiting the region, 20 minutes from Nice and Antibes, 40 minutes from Monte carlo, 90 minutes from Saint-Tropez. Strongly rcommended !
