We stayed here for a week in the middle of June and I must say we were positively surprised. We are quite high-maintance when it comes to hotels and staying at a "only" three-star hotel was a bit scary. It need not be extremely luxorious however it must be clean.
We had two double rooms, each equipped with a lovely balcony overlooking a garden with lemon trees and orange blossoms. The rooms were cleaned and the beds made each day. Our room in itself was also very nice, in the colour of lavender and light blue (however the second room was in burgundy - not as pretty), the beds comfortable and the bathroom clean (towels etc. were changed each day as well).
We also had the hotel breakfast each day which was very nice considering it was in France (where they generally don't have such good breakfasts...) with fresh fruit, yoghurt and cornflakes/müsli, juice, coffee, tea, different types of cheese and cold meat, croissants and bread. You sat outside eating, overlooking the gardens and the pool - lovely! The only thing which we found a bit odd and not to good about breakfast was that the bread they served was either toast or those "store-bought" mini-baguettes. How can they not buy fresh baguettes each day with a boulangerie just around the corner with wonderful bread?! We are in France - where the baguettes are cheap and delicious.
The hotel was also equipped with a pool which was extremely nice during the warm days. There were also towels and sunbeds.
The staff was extremely helpful, friendly and service-minded. Big plus! The location too was nice, not far from Cannes, Antibes, St-paul-de-Vence, Mougins... and 5 minutes walking distance from Biot's town square where the restaurants were situated (however it was a quite steep uphill climb.. but easier on the way back!)
Overall the hotel Domaine du Jas was and exceptional hotel, extremely cheap considering what we got... The one thing which might drag down it's grade might be however that you could not sit down by the pool, where you hade breakfast in the morning, and order something to drink and something small to snack on. But that was a minor problem and I truly recommend this wonderful, wonderful hotel!
