“a perfect winter brake”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 28, 2012

Beaulieu is a picturesque village much enhanced by the hotel La Reserve. Our week end experience was very relaxing- the Bar, the Terrace, the Pool are all beautifully maintained and serviced. The reception personal and the Concierge did wonders with reservations and helpful hints.
The food surprised and delighted us, we felt much attention to details and vast knowledge about the wines. I was amazed to see the Maitre D ironing the table clothes before lunch the next day!
The room was large and clean but a basic bed and the decoration a little faded. Bathroom wide and comfortable.
At the moment I can say that La Reserve became my favorite hotel in the South of France.

My wife and I were welcomed with smiles and treated fabulously by everyone from Estelle at the front desk to Louny and Elsa in the Spa. We really felt that the hotel cared about us.

The room was divine - large, spacious and luxurious. The view was idyllic. The outdoor pool was heated to 32 degrees and was a delight to swim in.

Total relaxation in just two days.

Highly recommended for a weekend break

Room Tip: The rooms in the clock tower have balconies and great views.

This has to be one of the best hotels in the world - it's simply fab
You can drop in for drink on the terrace - champagne at €15 isn't silly when you consider the surrounds and the 5 star service - try it and enjoy !

First time here and we were lucky with the weather. The staff were a bit aloof but we were in france so we were expecting and amused by that, Dinner was a bit of a let down but the lunchs were superb. The rooms were compact clean and functional. I booked two rooms and I was a bit surprised at the confusing bill when we were leaving as its not possible to really figure it out unless you were to take an hour or two examining it. The concierge Patrick was good and knew his job.

Room Tip: go for a sea view

Stayed here for a change as an alternative to staying in Monte Carlo on an annual trip. I am so very pleased I did - the train into MC takes just ten minutes and is only a couple of Euros.

This is truly one of my all time favourites. There is a touch of faded grandeur about the property - but this only adds to the "gentile" atmosphere.

Beautiful envirnoment, great pool and amazing personal service - the likes of which the bigger chains have forgotten.

The restaurant and bar staff were fantastic - not at all pompous - just very accomodating and super friendly.

My meal at the hotel was one of the best I've ever had. It was very expensive - but what an experience.

The village of Beaulieu and the small port offer a variety of more affordable dining options - all of which are pretty good.

I cannot recommend this hotel enough and can't wait to return

Very very nice and romantic hotel - location and service are perfect.
But you should book in advance first raw on the pool-terrace as otherwise you will not have sun all day. if you want to swim in the sea this is NOT the best place.
Lunch-food on the pool terrace is amazing fresh and the ppl working there pay a lot of attention at the guest.

Although is had been years since I'd been to the Riviera and last stayed at Hotel du Cap, I just couldn't justify spending the rates for that wonderful hotel without my husband (I was traveling with a female friend), so I opted to stay here based on trip advisor reviews. I'm glad we did. The location was lovely (fabulous town and sea views) and the room was perfectly fine, although I must admit, it's shocking what $1,400 a night affords you in this part of the world compared to anywhere else! The grounds were lovely and it's actually quite romantic at night...perfect location to stay when on the Riviera. But come with lots of cash...the restaurant, which is lovely, is almost as pricey as some of the grandest in France...dinner for two, including a cocktail each and an appetizer and main course, set us back over $700.

Room Tip: Choose one of the tower rooms with both the garden and sea views.
