“Good value small hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 24, 2013

Very good value, comfortable, small, family-run hotel in a quiet side street. Cabin-like rooms around a pretty, flower-filled courtyard where you have breakfast. Rooms are small and basic, spotlessly clean. Each room has a small window opening on to the courtyard and would be hot in high-summer. Breakfast is better than in other 2* star hotels - pastries, bread, fruit juice, fresh fruit and yoghurt, and you can order eggs if you want. Hotel is two minutes from a white sandy beach which gets crowded at the first sign of sun. Antibes old town a pleasant 15 minute walk along the seafront.

The best thing about the hotel is Natalie, the tireless and cheerful owner, who cannot do enough to please the guests. She is reason enough to return, which we intend to do.

We would recommend this hotel as an ideal base to explore Antibes and the surrounding region.

We had a delightful stay at La Jabotte at the end of May. Natalie went out of her way to make our stay as lovely as possible and we were certainly made to feel very welcome.
The weather was cool at times which made the rooms feel a little chilly and sadly we couldn't make the use of the pretty courtyard for breakfast because it just wasn't warm enough. The breakfast however was delicious and a fabulous way to start the day.
The proximity to the beach was perfect and made this hotel the ideal spot. The rooms were a little basic but when the sun is shining it really doesn't matter. The charm of this hotel and it's peaceful location make it a perfect little hideaway whilst being wonderfully close to everything you might need.

Great excellent hosts, Nathalie and her husband! Wonderful breakfasts served in a very homey atmosphere greatly due to the sincerity and warmth of the hotel hosts themselves! Rooms are very cozy and the whole hotel is so quaint and warm filled with happy vibrant colors and very quaint ambiance with lots of positive vibes! I would recommend this hotel anytime to anyone and everyone!

In the morning, you'll open your door to a beautiful courtyard, that's cosy and fresh. The breakfast consists of perfect french bread with as much jam and butter as you would like, well selected pastries and other sidings, and freshly pressed pot of coffee or brewed tea. The owners Nathalie and Pierre serve you breakfast themselves, and are so attentive and warm - making sure you have everything you need and want to start your day right. We were a group of 8 and Nathalie was most gracious and accommodating...

The location is also perfect - a stones-throw from the white sands and crystal blue waters of the Mediterranean... It was like I had walked into a dream when I finally got myself to leave the cosy and charming La Jabotte.

Back in the room and amenities were complete and very thoughtful - cosy room with just the right amount of light and space, and everything I needed to make myself at home.

La Jabotte was truly a wonderful place to stay, and I hope I am lucky enough to find such gems on future travels

We stayed 2 nights in March, in 2 rooms. The hotel had just changed hands; Natalie and her husband were extremely welcoming and helpful. The breakfasts were great, continental but generous. There is parking outside for a few cars, and free parking along the beach at the end of the street.
Our rooms were on the delightfully planted and decorated courtyard, which the rainy cold weather stopped us from fully enjoying, but which must be lovely on warm summer days and evenings. Our rooms were OK, a bit gloomy in the March rain, and a bit of a tight squeeze (I banged my head on the wall light trying to slide down the side of the double bed), and you could hear noises from the nextdoor room, but it didn't disturb us. The shower was hot, and the room clean.

If you are looking for a very traditional french experience then this is great for you. We were well looked after by the new owner and enjoyed lovely continental breakfasts every morning. This hotel is near a beach and within easy reach of Antibes town centre and only 15 mins walk away from Juan les Pins. The rooms are clean and warm. We had a great stay. The new owner is a very pleasant lady, helpful, happy and wanting her guests to enjoy their stay.

We visited for 4 days in March when the weather was unsettled and cool. I can quite see that this would be a great place to stay when the weather is better, but it was too cool to sit outside most of the time, the bedrooms have no-where to sit and the communal indoor space was not exactly peaceful (yapping dogs, TV on constantly in the office next door etc). Yves and Claude were away for the most part and, while we were well looked after by a kind lady, it wasn't the same.
The garden onto which all the rooms face is charming, and the area is certainly tranquil, being set back from the road. It's easy proximity to the town makes it an ideal place to be located for a visit to Antibes and the surrounding area.

Dear Sir, Madam,

First of all we would like to thank you for having taken time to write a coment. The owners have changed 3 days after your stay, so there is no more tv on, there is no more dog, but.... 3 cats, oftenly outside visiting neighbourg houses, and we are now always at your disposal also for a drink or diner, except if I have to go out 1 hour concerning shopping for the hotel. It is true that the place has changed a lot with the sun coming back, the rain was terrible this year, unusual. We hope may be to welcome you again in Antibes ! Best regards, Nathalie & Pierre
