Having been to the former restaurant called the Bastion, what a disappointment. Over priced and badly cooked food with wonderful sea views. Why go to the sea front in France for a dish you can get at "Buffalo Grill" for a quarter of the price and a bigger selection of meals.
We sat on the restaurant because their advertising flyer showed wonderful looking sea food dishes. When sat I noticed that the only sea food dish they served was salmon which really doesn't need a brain surgeon to cook so we decided to order the Scottish Chateaubriand for two and a bottle of Chateauneuf du pape (white) which we absolutely adore and 20 minutes later the waitress came to the table to tell us that they had none in stock.
The beef when it arrived (for 62.00 euro) had been cooked in a metal pan (fried I presume) with no jus and we had to order a portion of potatoes (tiny) for another 4.50 euro as the beef came with no side orders what so ever. By the way, if we wanted a sauce with it this was also separately charged.
What a disappointment after having had wonderful meals and a great atmosphere at the previous restaurant.
The strange thing is that they still show a Michelin Guide Rosette from the previous restaurant which food bared no resemblance to the new steak house....
If you are a tourist and likes to be ripped off please go there. Certainly locals like us will NEVER GO THERE AGAIN,,,,,
