“Spectacular”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 14, 2013

We stopped in for lunch without a reservation, but they happily accomodated us for a table for 2. In hindsight, we were lucky to get it - the restaurant became full very quickly. It was one of the best meals and experiences we've had in our many years of travel and eats in Europe. The terrace was closed, but inside is a rustic and warm ambiance. Situated at the top of the hill in the village of Chateauneuf du Pape, and with large ceiling to floor windows in the restaurant, the views into the Rhone Valley were spectacular. No English menus here, but wait staff was patient and accomodating with my limited French. Service was attentive and friendly. The wine list was extensive with a variance in price points. The lamb chops were grilled to perfection, accompanied by a delicous stuffed tomato, egg souffle and haricot verts. What a great place- we highly recommend.

“Total sensory pleasure!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 12, 2013

I have been almost all over the world and am often in restaurants - business & pleasure - and I must admit I was just blown away by the whole place - it was like a dream - outside terrace overlooking the vineyards just breathtaking, the music was pleasant - the food fantastic - I had 2 deserts they were so yummy - the wine sooooo good - great service by a drop-dead gorgeous girl (I even remember her name - Pauline). One of the owners even came over for a little chat - he had worked in Montreal (where I am from).

“A snack bar, really, but the location and ambience!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 9, 2013

run by the family that owns the Ch. des Fines Roches, it's a great place to enjoy a cafe, glass of wine, salad or light meal or snack. Just steps away from the Ch. des Papes ruins...great after exploring!

“Heavenly food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 6, 2013

The whole experience in this restaurant was just fantastic. Starting with the view from our table. Just amazing. Provence at its best. The food was to die for. I had lamb and my wife had beef. The meat just melted in your mouth. And the flavors....We tried 2 wines and there were fantastic. I recommend this restaurant from the bottom of my heart. Tip: MAKE A RESERVATION. It was a Wednesday evening and the place was packed. They had to turn down lots of customers.
