I have stayed at the Safari hotel many times on business over the last 4 years. The hotel is okay, but what sets it apart is the restaurant. The food is fantastic, amongst the best I've eaten in many visits to France. The presentation is adventurous - my last meal included a deconstructed "chicken pie" which was essentially a perfectly cooked piece of chicken with a stuffed ravioli and ended with a "snowball" that hid the fruit dessert. It is a little pricey off the carte and in mid-week can have a funereal atmosphere if there are few guests, but in the summer when you can eat around the pool it is superb. Service in both the dining room and the hotel can vary a bit, but it is well worth a try if you want to experience adventurous French cooking.
