The food was absolutely amazing.
We started with the meat & cheese plate (don't remember the french name, but it's the third & last option on the appetizer menu). Every single meat and cheese we had on that platter was really good and really enjoyable just picking at them. We each also had a glass of wine (I ended up having 2 glasses, each different, just to try different grapes) and they were all high quality and very well priced (3-4 Euros a glass).
For the main course, I ordered the "chef suggestion of the weekend" which ended up being Veal with Gorgonzola cream sauce and mashed potatoes. That was simply divine. Easily the best plate I've had in months. My wife got the Candied Salmon, which was also very good, but not nearly as good as my Veal.
Now normally, I would have given this restaurant 5 stars. Unfortunately we had a little problem that took (at least) a star away in our book. A baby cockroach walked across our table as we were finishing our meal. It's tough to take too much away from the restaurant because there's no telling if he (the evil cockroach) came from the outside (as the door & a couple of the windows stay open at all times). Or if he is a resident of the restaurant. I've only been here once, so I can't say.
I sincerely hope it's the former, for our sake and for that of the restaurant.
The food and service is excellent, and so I wish them luck and cleanliness.
