“Nice staff”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 13, 2013

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights. When were disappointed to find the room was not clean..there were old contact lens packets in the bathroom and empty drink bottles on the shelf of the open clothes hanger. The room was small but had a nice balcony overlooking the rear garden however it took us some time to find the hotel which is poorly signed and does not look anything like the promotional photos until you drive through the gates to the rear of the premise. The staff were very helpful and made some excellent suggestions for local places to visit. The breakfast was very average.

Room Tip: Try and get a room at the rear overlooking the garden as the main road is a little grim.

The garden area was a plus for breakfast and a glass of wine at the end of the day. Frederic and his family were extremely helpful and welcoming. Easy walk to the old town and surrounds, laundmat nearly next door. We had the attic room which had very low ceilings, but having said that, that is what we ordered and it was priced accordingly. If we ever return to Avignon we'd be more than happy to stay here again.

This family run hotel has a pretty garden where you can have breakfast. The room we had was very small, and when we asked for a larger room the owner moved us to an apartment he owned nearby after the first night, which was quieter and suited us just fine. The hotel is very close to one of the main entrances into the walled town, and the family are very helpful with information. It is also very close to the station - and train noise may be a problem for some people. The TVG, by the way, doesn't come into this station, but another station some distance from the town (about 12 euros by taxi).

Room Tip: Probably better to go for an upgraded room - I think these are a lot better than the standard rooms.

My friend and I stayed here on the first night of a cycling holiday having arrived in Avignon on the Eurostar in the afternoon. The hotel is within five minutes of the station and of the town - ideal if you're only in Avignon for a short while. The hotel looks great and has a pleasant courtyard with garden seating.

Upon arrival we were pleased to find our room had air conditioning and also a complementary bottle of wine! The receptionist was very helpful and talked us through a map of the city, where to go for food etc. Great service. We were also permitted to store our bike bags (large ones used for transportation on the Eurostar) at the hotel for the week we would be travelling.

I would highly recommend staying here!

Very close to train station, good air conditioners in rooms, complementary breakfast (was not mentioned at booking) in the small garden, newly remodeled bathroom, clean linens and fresh towels.
No elevators(but manager helped with one of our luggage), they did not change the linens and towels the second day of our stay. Loud noise from train station (unless you close the windows and shutters), one should be very careful while showering, not to spill out water in the bathroom.

We arrived late to this hotel, and got a very small room. We can live with that, but there was a lot of dust every where, and the floor had not been cleaned for many month. I have never seen such a dirty hotel room in europe.
Beside that the hotel seamed ok. We only stayed for one night.
If the room had been clean, this would be an average hotel.

We stayed there 2 nights. It is near the Railway station and not far away from the post office if you need to take the bus to TGV station. The breakfast is average. The internet is free and fast speed even it needs to watch the video provided by the service provider. The room is clean and just fine for two persons. We lived in the ground floor, so it is quite noisy if other gusts go out or come back to the hotels and there is also no window(it has air-conditioner), but the advantage is I do not need to take two big luggages up to other floors because there is no lift.
