“Worth finding”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 30, 2013

For art-house films in their original version, this is the place to go. Prices are very reasonable - particuarly if you buy the abonnement. The monthly program, with detailed reviews, can be found in many places about town, including Les Halles and many restaurants. Allow time to wait in the queue on wet weekends!

“A Local Treat”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 6, 2013

When in Avignon, go to Utopia Cinemas (two locations) in the center of town. Here is a place where movies are taken seriously, where doors are closed when the movie start s,so you won't be disturbed, where attendees stay to the last second, where excellent movies are played in their original language.
Of course, one should also peruse their Brochure, readily available throughout town and online for the judgements and viewpoints displayed.
Movies presented are for all publics, including children.
You can buy certain documentaries/films and have them stored on a USB key; you can buy a book of tickets and thus reduce the individual price (tickets are good for ever it seems);you can stop and have a drink on the way in or out at their little place, and there is even a "Grand Café" next door for meals inside or outside.
A local institution well worth attending and supporting.
