We had a wonderful stay at La Mirande, one of the most beautiful hotels I have stayed in. We had a suite of rooms which took up an entire corner of the hotel, rooms 21 and 22, which were connected by a private hallway. The views were superb, it had 7 windows looking over the Palais des Papes. The toiletries were fantastic quality, some even made locally. The designs of the rooms are all different, with some lovely antiques,
We had a superb dinner in the restaurant, and breakfast, which was expensive at €26, but had some fantastic cheese and jams. There was a great room service meal at €25 which was beef cooked in red wine, plus Cotes du Rhone wine and a pudding all included, perfect for a night in staring at the castle.
The best thing is the atmosphere made very special by the fantastic staff. We would not hesitate to return!
