I remember very well these costumers, in fact it was missing one ingredient in one plate, we appologised and we proposed to give something else instead, but they did'nt want anything...so i offered them their dessert, but it was'nt enough, i suppose they wanted to have all the desserts free, i am sorry but i could'nt do more, i think that i have done the best i could do! sorry if it was not enough for them.

“Traditional Provencal food, huge portions!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 23, 2012

Our hotel recommended this restaurant when we asked them for a place to have traditional provencal food. It is very close to the centre, just off the place de l'Horloge. It is the only restaurant in a small square, overlooked by the glorious facade of the St.Pierre church, which in the night that we went was all lit up and looked magnificent... The square itself is quiet which isn't a bad thing.
The food: quite rustic, huge portions, I had a started of "Mems" no idea what they were beforehand, turned out to be cheese filled pastry flutes (yummy!) and a main of lamb tagine with plums, it was delicious but even I found the portion enormous, and I like my food! As our friend at the hotel reception told us: "C'est traditionel, pas de cuisine gastronomique!" - which was true and served us just fine!
The service is friendly but a bit hit-and-miss and towards the end of the night it fell apart, but it didn't spoil it for me.

“Lovely restaurant -highly recommended”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 23, 2012

Our hotel receptionist recommended a couple of restaurants. We went to the first one but that one was booked out. Walked to this one and we were sitted within minutes. We ordered a salad and steak each and a half bottle of wine. The presentation was nice. Salad looked no different but the cheese on top of green salad tasted so yummy! The steak was just cooked right and tasty. I am usually very fussy about my food and I was very happy with the food and service at this restaurant. Just to add, it is situated in front of a nice church and the setting is beautiful when the church is lit at night.

“Cute little find...”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 3, 2012

On our way to 'Why not' we came across this cute little restaurant in a square over looking a gorgeous well lit church. We decided to eat here as the decor was just so cute. After sitting out the front we heard a lot of americans which made us think maybe this was a tourist hub but then realised they were with their french friends, so it was all good.

Food was very tasty, with a MASSIVE load of salad on the side which was nice but I think took away too much from the meal. Smaller salad portions would make it look nicer. I had the goat cheese spring rolls which were fabulous and my partner had the salmon plate which was fresh and delicious. For main i had the prawns, which could have had more flavour (some chillis would be nice) but were large and good tasting - once again massive portion of salad which i could hardly touch, . My partner had the steak which was cooked blue (he asked for it 'as the chef cooks it') and was rich but delicious - it was gone in minutes! haha.

Desserts had to be the highlight for me - tasty and decadent, we had the apple crumble and chocolate cake.

Wine complimented the meal nicely, service was friendly and english, overall an enjoyable experience!

“Nice place”

Very pleasant outdoor seating area in a quiet but central square. Pleasant service and good food, though choice is a bit limited.
