“An Oasis Just Outside Avignon; Six Stars”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 7, 2012

Fabulous, beautiful B&B just outside Avignon. We stayed in "The Poppies" for three nights. The rooms were large, beautifully decorated and spotless every day, with a designer bathroom with a walk-in shower. After a day of exploring the old town or other sights in the area, it was so relaxing to sit at our table by the pool sipping some wine--and feeling sorry for the poor travelers who chose to stay at in-town hotels! Valarie and her husband were perfectly charming and she went to a great deal of trouble to track down a laundramat for us in a nearby suburb. Don't miss Valarie's breakfasts! From the fresh fruit salads with homemade yogurt to the homemade preserves with some of Valarie's sweet breads, you will love it all. One of the best B&B experiences we've had.

“Warm, Cozy and Relaxing”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 27, 2012

This B&B is located on a quiet street, on the island across from the walled city and within walking distance to the city. Everything, rooms, breakfast and owners are just what you've hoped for in a South of France little B&B. Comfy beds, spacious rooms, beautiful setting and easy to travel to other places from. Definately will return!

Room Tip: Read the reviews. They make a difference and are right on.

“Charming”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 27, 2012

This bed & breakfast was the first stop for our 2 week stay in Provence. It was the perfect start to our vacation. Our room and bathroom was spacious and very clean. The pool was refreshing and had a great covered area with a mini fridge that can store all of your purchases from the local markets. We found ourselves snacking, drinking wine and relaxing by the pool mid afternoon after we explored Avignon. It is off the beaten path but the walk to the ferry that took you accross the river was short enough to do everyday. The hostess always made sure to have different homemade jams and a sweet pastry for breakfast. We would stay there again.

“PERFECT!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 9, 2012

All the good things said about this place on trip advisor are true so I’m not going repeat that…

It is relatively easy to find a hotel with good amenities and fancy rooms but what makes the difference between a good stay and an excellent stay is the added warmth and hospitality of the hosts… this is exactly what can be said about Valerie and Laurent who went the extra mile to make our stay truly memorable… be it negotiating a deal with the taxi company to get us to the airport or ensuring that the taxi arrived at 5am in the morning on time!

Very friendly, gracious and helpful… and it is clear that they enjoy what they are doing … everything is tastefully done and there is great to attention to detail…right down soft pink toilet paper and colorful serviettes with the breakfast layout... different ones every day! Awesome home cooked breakfast – loved the apricot cake, fruits jams and fresh orange juice.

Highly recommend this B&B to those looking for the homely touch and would love to come back again…

All the best Valerie and Laurent ... and thank you for the lovely 3 days in Avignon.

“Beautiful place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 8, 2012

We stayed 2 days at this B&B in Avignon and we were delighted. The place us realy beautiful, in the provence style. It is relatively easy to get there, specialy with a car. It is more dificult without because it is placed on the island in front of the old city. The rooms are very clean and spacious, we stayed in room Iris. They have also o nice pool. But we enjoyed most the breakfast. It is just great! It is a place where I wouldcome back! Ahh, and Valerie (the owner) is extremely friendly and there to give you an advice!
