The warm welcome by the hosts, good sense of style, lovely location - we'd definately recommend to stay there when one prefers more intimate accommodations.
We loved the balcony breakfast, interior designs and the atmosphere. A really nice place to stay in Avignon!
PS a good extra, a garage space for the car in the middle of the old town!

I picked this B+B from Trip advisor comments and every word is true... as all the hotels were in the busy centre and this is away from the noise and we are so glad we did .Veronique is one of the nicest hosts you will find in France... big statement... but we stayed in many hotels and B+Bs and this is one place we loved ,the rooms are immaculate, the bed is so comfy, you can park your car in there garage, the kitchen is open all hours and well equipped.Veronique will head you in the right direction with restaurants (check out Ginette & Marcel) and once there you can easily walk to all the touristy parts of Avignon.
do visit the night show at the Palais Des Papes LES LUMINESSENCES... fantastic.you must stay here!!!

Room Tip: we drove in to Avignon and it is a bit tricky to find, use your GPS and make sure you have a smaller...

Two friends and I stayed in the Isatis room of this B&B in Avignon and loved every minute. Véronique and Frédéric are helpful but not overbearing and they make the best breakfast and offer plenty of suggestions of where to visit. The room was airy, super clean, and modern, and the shower was large and hot. Isatis has a queen sized bed and twin bed, which was great for three people (it's hard to find hotels that accomodate three in one room in Provence!). The location is about a 10 minute walk from the Pope's Palace, perfectly situated for discovering the city. Best of all, there is free parking, so if you're doing a Provence road trip (as my friends and I were), it makes a great place to stay for a few days. The only downside is that the parking garage on the first floor of their home is a tight squeeze to get into, but it's free parking, so don't complain! One note: Make sure to follow Veronique's directions, not the GPS... you have to enter at the St. Michel gates to the city and make a few tight turns to get there. You will not be disappointed!

If you are looking for a truly amazing stay with great hosts, look no further, Coté Square is the place for you. My wife and I stayed there for two nights last May just before our wedding and we could not have hoped for a better place or better hosts.

First of, the B&B itself. The location is perfect - right in the centre of Avignon, yet in a quiet street allowing a great night sleep. The rooms are large and beautifully decorated and the beds very comfortable. The breakfast served every morning by Veronique is simply delicious! There are lots to choose from: fresh fruit salad, croissants, pains au chocolats, brioches, baguettes as well as homemade jams and locally produced honeys and yoghurts. A wonderful start to the day!

Now, the hosts. Véronique and Frédéric are exceptional hosts - and I mean it. As mentioned by other guests, they have a very good knowledge of Avignon and will recommend the best café and restaurants in town, far from the tourists traps so do ask for their advice. But beyond that, they are genuinely nice people. The day before our wedding, Heathrow was shut which meant that for a few hours I thought my parents and sisters would not be able to make it to our wedding. We knocked at Véronique and Frédéric's door in despair to ask if we could borrow their computer to find a way to get them to Avignon and they warmly welcomed us into their flat. We spent a good 3 hours there and they were wonderful. Not only did they offer to use their phone and computer but they also actively helped us, looking for solutions on their laptop as well. They were amazing and we are truly grateful of their help and kindness.

So here we are, we couldn't recommend Coté Square more. Thanks again Veronique and Frédéric, we will definitely be back!

PS: for those of you who wonder, we did find a way (Eurostar) and everyone made it to the wedding!

I spent a too short two nights at Cote Square ..sorry can't work the french punctuation on this computer... Veronique and Frederic were wonderful hosts... couldn't have felt more welcome or had more helpful advice re where to visit. And dinner...went to the same restaurant both nights because it was so close, and loved it so much. Thank you Veronique for the recommendation . I certainly hope to go back some time, despite the awesomely bitter weather, my room was very comfortable, breakfast was wonderful and I left with some sadness. Loved the square and garden next door.

I agree with everyone Cote Square is a wonderful place to stay. The house is in a great location in the historical center of Avignon, you can walk to all the major sites and restaurants. Veronique and Fredric are exceptional hosts and are very welcoming. They are very helpful in pointing out places to visit and gave us a list of great restaurants with varied pricing, many of which we dined at. Veronique gave us a delicious breakfast every morning--homemade yogurt, fresh fruit and fresh baked croissants and breads, preserves and lavender honey with fresh juice and coffee. Our room, the Isatis room, was very large and bright, nicely decorated with a comfortable bed and very clean. There is also a terrace that was very nice and I would spend time there reading and overlooking the park next door. We spent a week there and we felt very comfortable.

Veronique even went out of her way to get me a poster I asked her about. If you ever visit Avignon or the south of France stay here. Thank you again Veronique and Fredric for making our trip to France a memorable one.

Room Tip: The Isatis room is the largest of the 3 rooms, the other 2 are smaller but open to a charming terrac...
