“Nice place on Sunday night”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 5, 2012

Piedoie or Number 26 – slight confusion on the name. It seems the restaurant is now called Number 26. Food was fresh and tasty. Food presentation was better than New Ground but not as good as L’Essentiel. Atmosphere of restaurant was nice and relaxed (although a little quiet). Staff had real problems remembering which dish belonged to which table though. They are open for dinner on Sunday which was very handy as many places are closed. But I would book in advance as the restaurant is small (maybe 30 covers) and is a popular option for many people on a Sunday.

“charming little spot”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 17, 2012

This was a very nice little restaurant. The tapenade served before was excellent. The potato veloute was outstanding. Both the lamb shank and the veal chop were good. Service was friendly and efficient and the ambience was nice.

“New Restaurant Worth a Visit”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 10, 2012

My husband and I chanced to find this charming restaurant. Ownership was recently assumed by a French couple: He's an experienced chef and she's a hospitable, English-speaking hostess. The ambiance is pleasant and the menu, while limited, leans toward Provencal cuisine. We liked the restaurant so much that we returned for a second visit. On both occasions we thought the food was delicious and (for Avignon) reasonably priced.

“Excellent Cuisine”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 30, 2012

Arrived without reservation, but host could not have been more helpful, finding us a table upstairs. 3 course set menu was a very reasonable price and the quality was first class- far superior to other meals we have had during the course of our trip, some of which cost considerably more.
As well as finding the staff friendly, I can report that 'le toilette' was spotless, which cannot often be said for restaurants in France

“Take a chance, you won't be disappointed!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 30, 2012

I had read previous reviews and had walked by the restaurant as well and decided that for our last night in Avignon, this would be a good selection. The menu is very limited but what they do, they do extremely well. Between the four of us, we sampled most of the menu and every selection was plate licking good!!!!!!!
