After searching literally for an hour and a half for an open restaurant on this holiday weekend, we saw Le Criquet finally open its doors. We were one of the first couples inside, but the restaurant was full within 20 minutes. The food was the reason: fresh fare, seasoned perfectly with herbes de Provence, and a wide enough selection to suit just about anyone. I had the house-made fresh fish soup to start and followed with the rack of lamb. The main course came with deliciously seasoned vegetables and potatoes, and there was a wide selection of regional wines. The service was fast, probably because there were so many people waiting to be seated, and the prices reasonable for how much food you get. These were American-sized portions.
I recommend you make reservations. Many people had done so and were seated immediately. However, it's worth the wait.
