We booked and confirmed the hotel in January. On our arrival in June there was no booking. However they were able to find us one. (Quite easily as we later discovered as there was only one other guest!) They insisted that we pay for our five day stay up front, which stupidly we did by creditcard. After we had taken our cases to our room we were asked if we would like a bigger one overlooking the courtyard but at an extra 20Euros per night. (We declined.) Our room proved to be hot and noisy. There was a fan but it was so loud that we couldn't sleep nor could we have the TV on as there was only one power point. After two sleepness nights we decided to leave and because there was a problem with communication I went to the tourist office and had then ring the hotel to tell them that we planned to leave on our fourth morning and to ask for a refund. The hotel agreed. Next morning they acted as if they'd heard nothing. They agreed to give me back one night's accommodation but in the form of a French cheque which I couldn't cash. I would not recommend this hotel to anybody. It has a very good website, which is deceptive as the only charm is the front door and entrance. The staff are rude, the breakfast is poor, the towels thin and small and the whole hotel is dimly lit.
