This is a wonderful hotel! A real hidden gem! You enter a door on a small street into a beautiful garden with lovely trees and flowers and a pretty swimming pool. We had made our reservations for the 2nd and 3rd of October of this year and requested a large suite. Unfortunately we had mistaken our itenerary by one day and should have made them for the 3rd and the 4th. By the time we realized our mistake, the large suite was no longer available for the last night. They said they were sorry and would try to see what they could do. We wrote several times to dear Mikael while travelling, but there was no change. When we arrived on the 3rd, there was Mikael, Diana, and Cyrille to great us with the wonderful news that they had been able to give us a love large suite overlooking the garden and pool.
The room was fabulous! As beautiful as the pictures suggest. I had read some comments in Trip Advisor about the beds being very hard. That certainly was not our experience. The king sized bed was extremely comfortable. The room lovely and white with elegant accessories, a large bathroom and lovely view.
It is just a couple of blocks to the center of town. The staff was so very helpful, giving tips on restaurants, sights, maps, etc. Breakfast in the garden was a delight. They have a very highly rated restaurant at the Hotel Particulier and we made reservations there for our second night. When we got to the restaurant it was filled with a large group of bicylers who were travelling together through France. The Maitre D' came to use and said they had something special planned for our dinner (it was our anniversary). He took us to a beautiful private room just off the garden with candles, flowers, a fireplace, paintings of angels and a love table for two made up just for us. It was a night we will always remember. The food was fabulous and the atmosphere and service was devine.
