(59 year old woman traveling)... This was my first trip outside of the U.S. I planned a 3-month adventure throughout France. At this point in my journey, my 84 year old mother had joined me for 4 weeks. When we got to Arles, we had no reservations and hoofed it from the train station until we happened upon this square and the hotel smiling down on us. We needed three nights but could only have one at this hotel.
The owner greeted us in English and was extremely kind. We made it to our room and felt we had arrived in a 5 star hotel. (Ok, what do I know..I've never stayed in one, but it FELT like one.) It was the largest room so far and I'd been in France for 30 days at this point! We could have had a square dance in the room!
It was a bit cool for swimming, but the pool was too inviting for me and I decided to take advantage of it. I shared the quiet patio with the cats and my grin from such an incredible experience.
The following day, as we looked for another hotel, we were allowed to keep our bags in the hotel until we came back for them.
I want to go back to Arles just to stay in this hotel.
I did follow in Van Gogh's footsteps and awed at the Roman sites still standing. It is a lovely town. I just think I know what drove Vincent mad.....the wind!

More praise for this hotel from us. Of course, the location is perfect (though a pain to get to if you are driving. Reserve a place in the car park and they will park it for you). We had an apartment which was perfect for our small family. The pool was lovely (but cold!). There is no restaurant, but plenty just outside the door in the Place du Forum. Arles is wonderful, stay at least 2 or 3 nights.

A wonderful location in Arles. Right in the middle of town with many great dining opportunities within walking distance. Room very nice with a nice bathroom. Pool being filled while we were there but had a evening drinks around the pool.

Would stay there again without hesitation.

What a great hotel in an amazing town! We loved the du Forum and Arles was so beautiful with something around every corner. My friends and I reserved the triple and loved the room. While sparsely decorated, the room was quiet, had a nice view of the courtyard and old homes, and was extremely clean. Not to mention the room was huge and was great for accommodating three women with large suitcases. The beds were super comfortable as well.

The staff was just as a great. When we had trouble with the rental car, the owner was there to help. As mentioned in other reviews, the drive in to the hotel was very interesting. Be sure to stop at the tourist office and get a city map. We tried to follow the signs and would not recommend taking that white-knuckled approach.

We loved walking through the winding streets and loved the amazing colors of the Provencal fabrics. We were there in October and things were definitely winding down. Don't wait too late for dinner as many places closed early, especially for Europe.

The du Forum is great and I would stay there again without doubt. A great hotel, great staff, excellent location, at a great price!
