“Very nice with perfect location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 4, 2013

Stayed one night with family of two kids. Had a big famly room with a lot of space. Hotel is clean, nice, good atmosphere and a perfect location on the square. Front desk very friendly and nice. The small pool in the lovely courtyard was a small surprise, but perfect for a beer after a warm day in the city.

This is a fantastic hotel to stay for any length of time, with its lovely pool - and breakfast round the pool - and perfect staff organisation. The location could not be better; this is a family-run hotel with history, set in the old part of Arles and near all the best known sites. The Place du Forum in which it is located was always attractive and was painted by Van Gogh. We are 71 and 72 and loved the mixed age-groups and nationalities around the pool. If you have your own car contact M. and Mme at the hotel for advice - don't just turn up or you will despair of finding a place.

Room Tip: Avoid front of hotel if you don't want to hear and watch people eating at street tables. There...

I was in Arles for two nights on my own and I was very well looked after. This hotel is old but not shabby, it is immaculately maintained, and the staff are very friendly and gave me great restaurant recommendations. It is fantastically well appointed and close to everything.

This is my third stay at the Hotel du Forum in Arles. I come back because it feels like France- old, quaint, a little quirky (the room key is a skeleton key), but up to date in every way it needs to be. The bathroom is large and modern, the shower doesn't leak, there is a flat screen TV, free wifi, a refrigerator, and air conditioning. In the back is a beautiful pool. You are right in the middle of town, a 5 minute walk from the Roman Arena. The staff could not be friendlier. An excellent choice for your stay in Provence..

Room Tip: A room in the front, overlooking the square, has a great view, but can be a bit noisy if you aren...

My adult daughter and I shared a VERY spacious room which overlooked the pool. We were, in fact, surprised to have such a large room (two queen beds) for the moderate price. It was spotless, the staff couldn't have been more pleasant and we easily could walk almost everywhere from the hotel's excellent location. ADVICE: park your car in the parking area OUTSIDE of the city walls and, if necessary because of luggage, take a taxi from the stand next door. That way you'll avoid the very challenging medieval ruelles (extremely narrow streets) in the old part of Arles where you can walk to all of the sites. You also will avoid the hotel's garage fees. I really, really liked this hotel and would return again in a heartbeat.

what a find. The high trip advisor rating was spot on. Great location in the main square of the old town, just step out the front door. We requested a quiet room & got a beauty (chambre 50) at the back overlooking the pool. The room was simple, large, very clean, good bed. The bathroom was large. The decor was in keeping with an old french hotel, old but functional & suited the style of the building & great location. Genuine comes to mind. The reception & bar staff were friendly & helpful, booking local restaurants for us (see review on Le Galoubet). Hotel is family owned since 1920s. We had a very good experience & thought it very good value. There is a lift if you don't want to use the grand stair.

Room Tip: if you want a quiet room, ask for one overlooking the pool/back courtyard.
