“We'll be back!”

Hotel is located in the centre of old Arles, next to Roman Arene and Coloseum. Hotel service was excellent, immediate, and direct. Hotel's yard covered with the huge old tree's branches was very romantic in the evening. Le Calendal is in a central Provence location. We've rented a car and used the hotel as a base for our trips to almost everywhere in Provence. Hotel helped in getting the parking spot in the nearby covered parkade (10 euro/day charge).

I stayed at the Hotel Le Calendal on my recent trip to Provence. Upon arrival, very late at night, I was greeted by a staff member who offered to help me with my bags. The hotel does not have an elevator, so you must climb stairs to get to your room. The rooms are decorated very nicely. My room was small, but efficiently arranged and adequately sized for my needs. Parking is scarce, so you should coordinate that before you arrive. The hotel has a nice courtyard and other ammenities. I did not spend a lot of time there though, as I was touring the area. The hotel is located central to several sites you might want to visit while in Provence. I visited Nimes, Pont du Gard, Les Baux, Avignon, and Chateauneuf des Papes while staying at Le Calendal.

We spent two nights in Arles and had a great time. Hotel Le Calendal was a wonderful, centrally located oasis. We drove into Arles and one of the friendly young ladies at the front desk was kind enough to ride with me to find the parking space I had reserved. Excellent breakfast and lunch. Great location for visiting both Arles and the surrounding area. We drove through the wonderful Camague to see the white horses, black bulls and pink flamingoes! The only negative (which is notable for those with bad backs) is they have no elevator. Not a problem for us but a consideration for some.

I organised a trip for 21 people around Arles area and the last 2nights were spent at Le Calendal. The coach was unable to drive into the the centre of Arles to where the hotel is situated so we had to make a short walk to the hotel. We phoned ahead to the hotel and were wonderfully surprised that someone came to meet us at the coach stop to show us the way. A very friendly start to our stay. Nathalie who I had emailed to arrange the trip was there to meet and greet us and made sure each person was happy with their rooms.
We had the most wonderful stay, and although we toured in the day to see other parts of Provence, everyone agreed that Le Calendal was a place to come home to each night.
Each room is decorated in it's own unique and individual way - if you want standard style hotel room you will not enjoy the uniqueness of the rooms here.
We as a group cannot recommend Le Calendal high enough for anyone wanting a wonderful, warm and friendly stay in Arles. It's a shame Le Calendal cannot share some of it's secret to other hotels on how they make their staff so helpful and friendly.

Stayed there previously, it is a real gem of a hotel. A little more costly than my usual choices, but worth every penny.

The only tricky part is parking in a city parking, some tortuous streets away. Fortunately, the hotel will escort you there, show you the ropes and provide a parking pass. Be sure to book this ahead of time.

Breakfast is superlative, everything is perfect!

We were recently in Arles and stayed at Le Calendal. It was a joy to stay there after a long day of travel and our GPS took us right to the front door. The garden was beautiful and our room was very comfortable. The hotel has an adorable little restaurant up front and the staff could not have been nicer. We will definately stay there again.
