The restaurant (and the hotel, Jules Cesar Hotel) are located into a former convent, at the outskirts of the Old Quarter of Arles. I also stayed at the hotel and think it as the best place for visiting the town. The lobby and the Restaurant are very nicely furnished with 1800s pieces of furniture, soft carpets and paintings. A very Fin du Siecle atmosphere. The cutlery too is old, big and heavy and thus very pleasantly when using. The food is one of the best in Provence I’ll dare say. I had some of the best lamb chops ever, with all the aromas of region. But, probably, the strongest point of the chef is the way the vegetables are cooked. Extremel) y varied offer, with a unique combination and flavor. Being it stand along vegetable dishes (as my wife had) or side dishes (as I had). In my case I had by the lamb 3-4 different vegetables combinations, from stuffed small tomatoes to aubergines. Very god indeed. Reservation is strongly recommended !
