“Great stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 1, 2011

A splendid stay in a typical Provence big house, superbly refurbished with ancient forniture, in the middle of the fields, surrounded by hundred years old trees, still only a few minutes from the Arles town centre and well placed to visit the top tourist attractions.

Hearty welcome, warm treatment, delicious breakfast! The hosts are kind and supportive and will make their best to make you enjoy the experience. Myself, I enjoyed every minute of it, including bathing in the nice swimming pool under the Provence sun.

I hope I get back there sooner or later, maybe trying the diffenret seasons,

Like all the other reviews written recently, my husband and I totally agree with everyone's comments. Pascale and Antonio were very welcoming and most helpful with any queries we had in relation to restaurant choices or tourist attractions to visit. We stayed in an upstairs suite which had typical french windows overlooking the expansive gardens to the pool area - which we utilised several times! The room was huge as well as the ensuite bathroom. We had the use of a small fridge which was handy for storing drinking water, but there was a full sized fridge available in the communal living area.

Access to Arles is about a maximum 10 minutes away and you do need a good GPS to find the property but once there, it doesn't take long to become familiar in finding your way around. A very good place to base yourself to explore the Arles region.

A lovely property, with lovely hosts and we thoroughly enjoyed our two night's stay there and would certainly recommend it to others.

If you are looking to stay in the Carmargue/Arles area, look no further. Mas du Petit Fourchon is superb - beautifully rennovated with large gardens and a swimming pool. Our room was large, with en-suite and AIR CONDITIONING! Room cleaned daily and beautifully furnished. Pascale (who speaks excellent English) and Antonio are a delightful couple who could not have done more. On arrival, we were given a bottle of wine to drink as we sat on the terrace, relaxing after a long journey.

Would we stay again? Most definitely! Best restuarant we went to was in Arles - La Guelle du Loup. This was Pascale's recommendation - she is a mine of information. Enjoy - we did.

Room Tip: Not all have Air Conditioning - ask in advance.

Our family had a very relaxing and enjoyable stay at this first class Bed & Breakfast. We spent 3 nights here in August 2011 on a trip through Provence and used it as a base to explore the region. Great access to Arles, which is a short and easy drive away, as well as to many other prime locations made this a terrific place to call home. Our hosts, Pascale and Antonio, were incredibly thoughtful and gracious. There was no problem communicating in English, French and Spanish and they both made wonderful suggestions for day trips in the region. We took two rooms and both were incredibly spacious and very comfortable. Breakfasts were wonderful with freshly baked goodies and Pascale's wonderful homemade preserves. We ate outside on the patio under the trees, looking out at the green fields and enjoying the peaceful nature of this location. There is a large refreshing pool by which to relax and unwind, and a "living room" area with comfortable seating if one wants to sit indoors or access the excellent wireless internet service. All in all, this was a terrific place to stay and we were delighted with our choice. I would absolutely stay here again and will refer friends if they plan on visiting the region.

We just loved our stay at Petit Fourchon. The hosts were some of the most welcoming I've ever met in my travels and it really made for a wonderful stay! They went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed - from pool towels to maps and tourist advice. The building is magnificent, at least 300 years old and very well maintained. Rooms are made to feel regal, and yet comfortable at the same time - spacious with room to spread out and relax. At first we also thought the rooms were stuffy and too warm at night, but then we found the fan - cools off the rooms great at night! The pool and gardens had plenty of areas to enjoy. The drive in and out of Arles (a few Kilometers only, but a little confusing) is the only drawback, but certainly worth it to stay at such a beautiful place!

We loved this amazing 16th c farmhouse renovated lovingly by the hosts Pascale and Antonio who were so welcoming and accommodating. The kids loved the big yard with lots of room for running around and exploring and of course they spent lots of time in the cool and refreshing pool. It was also nice to return to our huge room with its huge bathroom and have a hot bath. It was easy to get to Arles and La Camarque and Avignon and many other places of great interest in the area. If I ever get the chance I would definitely return!

We stayed for four nights and we loved this place. Beautiful views, large pool, breakfast on the terrace under the olive tree, a room that was huge and very comfortable. Pascale could not be more helpful or charming, with advice about the town and restaurant recommendations. She speaks half a dozen languages and was charming in all of them.
We also appreciated the kitchen facilities which meant we could buy food at the Market and enjoy it with a glass of wine on the terrace in the evenings.
There is a very large and comfortable lounge for the use of guests with plenty of sofas and armchairs, and info about the local area, which makes this place feel particularly like home.
We did not hire a car but chose to use the bus. It's a seven-minute walk to the bus stop and buses are totally prompt.
