I'm not sure this restaurant needs yet another review but I'm writing if for no other reason to tell you to ignore what you've heard and see for yourself. We went on a very rainy afternoon so perhaps it was slower than usual but our service was courteous and attentive. There is an odd, along the wall seating arrangement that means once you've been seated it is inconvenient to get up until you depart. Just know that and be prepared. Yes, if you are a regular or speak French and are perceived to be a regular, you will be given preferential seating. That's not a problem for me since at home restaurants i frequent give me preferential treatment as well. It is reputed to be expensive and while that is true, it was interesting to compare it to a restaurant in an outlying village the price of the fish soup was exactly the same in both places. Go with an open mind and enjoy yourself.
