Marie and Francois were fantastic hosts at this bed and breakfast. The grounds of their home are beautiful and removed from the noise of Aix. I loved the chlorine-free (or at leastr very little) pool. The room was warm and comfortable. At Happy Hour, Marie and Francois woud always help us plan for dinner, making suggestions for local non-touristy places. They would also help us plan our next day by offerring suggestions and drawing maps. I hope to return!

My son and I stayed at the Pavillion de la Torse in June. All the wonderful reviews of this B & B are accurate. This place is fabulous. What did I like best? Probably Marie and Francois. We arrived with no luggage, and Francois really worked with the airlines to make sure our luggage arrived in Aix before we were off to further points. At his urgings, we also solved a rental car problem. The free international phone was a huge problem solver for us as we had to deal with AutoEurope. How can Marie and Francois seem like such dear good friends after only a couple of days? They are truly lovely people. The house is gorgeous, the grounds are lovely, everything about Pavillion de la Torse is top-notch. We LOVED this place!

The Pavillon de la Torse is a beautiful villa conveniently located in Aix. As you enter the property through the long driveway you pass a beautiful infinity pool with generous seating. We were warmly welcomed by the owners. The beautiful, large villa is gorgeous and the gardens are beautifully landscaped. The room we had was in the upper floor at the back of the villa and was generous in size, spotless and had a large modern bathroom with shower. We were advised that we had internet in our room to use as well as wireless internet elsewhere in the villa. There was a happy hour for guests as well as a phone that could be used for free international calls. We were very surprised by the "extras" that were provided at no cost. As well, the swimming pool was one of the largest we have seen at a bed and breakfast as well at most hotels. It was as well spotless. Everything at villa was like being at a 5 star hotel. This was the first stop in a 14 day holiday and it really started the vacation off on the right foot. I would highly recommend this bed and breakfast.

I am very loath to write this review because I don't really want everybody to know how
good Pavillon de la Torse is. We stayed for ten days from June 17th and it was superb.
The attention to detail is second to none. Francoise and Marie are wonderful hosts and nothing is too much bother, The breakfasts were the best we have ever had in France and we do vist the country at least four to fve times every year. Highly Recommended

Six of us stayed at this B & B in June for 3 nights. The moment we drove into this B & B, we knew we hit a gem. The garden is so beautiful and makes you feel like just to stay there and not going any where. We wish we could stay longer. Marie and Francois are most gracious. They are so personable, like the old friends you just meet again. They provided not only a comfortable accommodation but also all the information you could ask around the area. They provided information about tours, market day and down to the music they played to cater to your taste.
Happy hour everyday is wonderful touch and an opportunity to meet other travelers from other part of the world. Because our days were packed full and we decided to have a picnic the last night at the pool area. We were so glad that we had this chance to relax and enjoy their beautiful garden.
Marie and Francois also have wonderful taste of art works. We love the artist who painted their house and bought some art works from him to take home with and it would always remind us what a lovely three days we had in Aix- en Provence at this B & B.
Will we stay there again? Absolutely, the next time we come back to Aix.
Marie and Francois: if you come to the bay area, do call us and we love to get together with you.
