What we really liked about this restaurant, apart from the really delicious food, was the fact that it was not a clone of all the French style inside/outside cafes that line the main streets; you know the sort, half the tables are inside while the rest are lined up regimentally on the outside, under an awning. This little gem was warm and cosy, with a simple menu, a brief but sufficient wine list and very friendly service.
The meal itself was exceptional value! We chose from the fixed "formula" menu ( 15 euro?) but this was so unlike the majority of the cheaper restaurants. here the food was different, it was tasty and it was a decent size serving, which for me ticked a lot of boxes. It obviously suited many others, as the restaurant had to put out its "house full" sign and turn away late comers which, according to the very friendly waiter, was something they had to do most nights.
