“Sensational exhibits”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 17, 2013

Their exhibits are always so well researched and presented. paintings come from all over the world. a few years ago it was a stunning exhibition on Picasso. this year it was about the painters who were inspired by the south of France.

“Le Grand Atelier du Midi”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 17, 2013

this exhibition was linked to the Musee des Beaux-arts in Marseille and collectively quite outstanding. There is also a second Musee Granet XXX, which I could not find unfortunately!

“Loved the "Le Grand Atelier du Midi" exhibit”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 16, 2013 via mobile

This museum is currently showing the exhibit "From Cézanne to Matisse," (in parallel with an exhibit in Marseille, "From Van Gogh to Bonnard) through 13 October 2013, during the celebration of the area as a European Capital of Culture. It is truly a fascinating exhibit, well curated & definitely worth a couple of hours. Highly recommended.

“superb!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 16, 2013

an amazing, charming collection, from Cezanne to Matisse and everything in between. In addition, we visitef a new museum with a private collection of works in the same general time frame. That was extraordinary.

“Great exhibition 'from Cezanne to Matisse'”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 16, 2013

Lovely museum, with very welcome shaded inner courtyard. The exhibition is well thought out, and the permanent collection is also worth seeing. As is often the case on the continent, the museum shop was lacklustre. Interestingly, visitors had to pass through a metal detector and water bottles were 'quarantined,' but bags weren't searched. However, I thought 11 euros each was too expensive.
