Excellent location in the city core, with ample parking: hotel is off the main street, set back so that it appears to have no street noise. Clean, well kept rooms and helpful staff, nice breakfast room and better-than-usual buffet. A Very Good value for the money, walking distance to many small restaurants and bistros. Would definitely stay there again!!

Room tip: ..in the back, facing the garden.

No bar of soap - just a dispenser screwed to the wall. No shampoo, unless you used the liquid soap. Minibar had previous occupants opened bottles in it. No kettle for making a hot drink, and no room service. Lighting required a tour of the room to turn on several low wattage bulbs. And the lavatory so close to the wall that you had to sit offset. And most bizarrely no lids for the teapots in the breakfast room. I got the impression that this very average hotel regards its guests as thieves.

The hotel is in an excellent location - in the centre of Poitier and close to excellent restaurants.
However, please note that your sat nav will not find this hotel as the centre is now a pedestrian zone and where you can drive is a one way system.
You must follow signs for hotel de ville and you will then see the hotel l'europe on the one way system en-route to hotel de ville car park.
The rooms were small but comfortable. The bathroom was not overly clean and the door was a nightmare to lock and unlock!
This hotel was ok..... in a very good location but not sure I would stay here again.

This was our third visit & we found it every bit as good as before. The hotel is well l;ocated in the centre of Poitiers which is a lovely city. The room was a good size & clean. Secure on-site parking was available at a modest extra charge. The breakfast was excellent.

We take this hotel since years as a stop over hotel. It is in the middle of Poitiers, close to restaurants, bars and the middle of the medieval city. Poitiers is a very nice city with it's special church at the centre.
The hotel's parking place is off the road and out of sight. Reservation is required and there is a fee for the parking place. The parking place is very save and you can leave your luggage in the car.
There is a 24hour reception desk with a nice staff.
The 3 bed bedrooms in the "old" building are quite nice, spacious and the bed is comfortable. Very good bathroom and separate toilet. WiFi for free.
