“Lovely family restaurant”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 20, 2012 via mobile

The food is locally sourced, wonderfully cooked and amazing value. Generally only 2/3 choices per course per day. Sometimes slightly strange combinations but the ingredients and the cooking are so good you can easily get passed this. Really nice family run this, the mum and son out front, dad and daughter in the kitchen. For the price it is top 3 for la rochelle!

“We couldn't believe the price for the quality!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 12, 2012

This restaurant it fab. You get such good value and the food is delicious. If you want lots of choice, it's not the place for you as there was only two dishes to choose from for each course. However, if you like fresh, well made homemade food then pay this place a visit. Nothing fancy - in terms of decoration etc, but well presented food that tasted amazing and we left feeling shocked at the bill! Definitely worth a visit.

“Unpretentious, fresh, and delicious.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 25, 2012 via mobile

Though the menu is rather limited, it is well presented and prepared with fresh ingredients. A nice fresh salad of slightly grilled jullien cut peppers was served to whet the appetite. This was followed by a main course of pork cooked with a beer sauce that was not at all overpowering. In addition to a lovely grilled half tomatoe, an accompanying dish of a superb lasagne was served. Cheese from the market topped off the meal perfectly. The espresso and wine went very well to make for a nice culinary experience. Fresh, inventive cuisine at a fantastic price.

“Excellent food with attention to detail”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 20, 2012

We tried this restaurant after the seeing the ratings on Tripadvisor- and how glad we were. Set in a smallish street with an unassuming exterior, the food was superb. We had the Formula - main plus dessert, which for one of the courses somehow worked out cheaper than just the main. The presentation of the main course was excellent, with an eye for detail. The house wine was very good, and the accompanying bread was some of the best we have tasted in France. The cheese plate had a delightful selection of cheeses. Excellent meal regardless of the price, however considering the Formula was 14 euro, it was absolutely outstanding. Add to this an extremely friendly and efficient waitress. Recommend without hesitation!

“Small in size but big on quality”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 19, 2012

Fantastic food at a very reasonable price. Not your flash harbour views but if it's good food you want this is the place.
