“Comy beds, nice shower, and reasonable price”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 18, 2013

I Was looking at the Mercure but thet was full so I ended up here, in some ways the Ibis is better, no noise from the train station and a bit closer to the beautiful town centre of Nantes, where there are plenty of eateries and things to see.

The rooms are quite compact, standard IBIS furniture, but here they seem to have ditched the awful beds that were the main reason I had tended to avoid IBIS hotels wherever possible. I would go as far as saying that the bed was amongst the most comfortable I have slept in, and I have visited a lot of hotels.

The Shower was also a very effective and the bathroom clean and modern.

I would park in the underground parking lot if coming by car, as there is limited street parking and anyway you have to pay for this, you can probably avoid paying for the hotel parking by not telling them you are parked there upon checkout.

Breakfast is the usual continental with plenty of coffee and pastries, cereal etc.

Overall I was very satisfied with this hotel and woudl use it again.

.

Room Tip: Room 100 next to the lift, ideal if not very mobile

The location isn't so great, about ten minutes from the city centre.
However, the breakfast is good and the services (specially on week end days) are worth the prices.
People are nice and welcoming.
Stay there for three or four days.

Hotel and staff here are fine, except we didn't rate the food,if you eat here, make sure you ask for any kind of meat to be "well done"
Rooms are a little tight on space, but then what can you expect for £50/night for a double bed in a hotel which is very handy for the excellent tram system, also a short walk to a wide choice of cafe/bars of different nationalities. The large chateau is a relatively short walk from the hotel also.
The hotel has free wi-fi,and even a computer for guest use in the foyer, which is also totally free.
The hotel is opposite a fairly busy rail track, noise not a problem with this, but no kind of view from the seats at the front of the hotel.
This hotel is ideal if you don't want to go too upmarket and go to the much more expensive city centre hotels, but still have excellent access to all the different areas of the city

Room Tip: Think the rooms on the higher floors at the front of the hotel would be better

Stayed two night in this hotel, while on a business trip. Loved the view of CHÂTEAU DES DUCS from my window on the 5th floor. Staff was great and service was quick, hotel restaurant is also pretty good. Good value for the price!

Room Tip: Choose the one with the view

This hotel is very good value for the price. Tha staff was smiling and very helpful. It's very easy to find from the railway station and very close to city centre. We were able to walk everywhere. The room is confortable and although the train tracks are just across the street, with the windows closed it was very quiet. The breakfast french buffet was good.
