“Very basic but clean”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed July 10, 2012

€97 per night with breakfast extra is a lot for a very basic twin room measuring about 10ft x 8ft with the 'bathroom' in a glorified cupboard. Location is well out of town but convenient for the tram service. In fairness, everything was spotlessly clean and the bed comfortable although the pillow was more like a small cushion. Also to its credit, free wifi was included. Aircon is noisy, so you need the window open which is OK provided you don't mind being woken up by fellow guests setting off early in their cars

Great place for a night or two stopover. Rooms are not big but have enough room and were very clean. Several restaurants near by. Minutes to centre ville by car. Enjoyed the free wifi. Staff was friendly.

There's nothing wrong with this budget hotel but watch the rates.

It is similar, in my experience, to an Etap, if a little less modern in the rooms than the newer Etaps.

You get a funcional room with shower/toilet cubicle en-suite. Bed, small desk, and small hanging area. A little cramped, but space is money, I guess.

There is a lift, so if you are on upper floor it's still easy to get luggage up and down.

Secure car park that is gated at night (albeit that folks walking can still come and go).

Helpful receptionist checked me in (staffed at certain times only, by the looks of it, and outside those times you use the machine to check in outside).

Aircon a definite plus factor in a part of the country that can get sticky.

2 things to consider.

1) is the location OK for you. Yes, it's close to the ring road but, no, it's not close to the town centre, so you will need to get the tram/bus or drive.

2) watch the rates. Frankly, my rate was close to 90 euros, which is too much for the class/standard.

There look to be local food options in a small mall by the hotel (I did not try so cannot comment) and a nearby supermarket.

Room Tip: One side of the hotel faces the road, the other over a housing area. The later might be the quieter...

Stayed here for the one night heading down to south, booked online arrived during the night to a very secure car park, although hotel is next to fairly busy road it didn't trouble us. We booked in using an automated entry, if your booking two rooms you have to login in twice with the same booking reference. The rooms are clean spacious, air conditioned and en-suite with comfy beds, also stayed for breakfast which was basic but filling, bagette, crossiant, jams yogurts fresh juice and coffee for about 3/4 euros, under twos eat free.
Only one note of caution there are two Premiere Classe in Le Mans this one and more central, I visited both due to a clerical error, on my part !!
Anyway would definatley reccomend and stay again, much nicer than Formule 1 for the same price.

Room Tip: Go none smoking, second floor

I stayed here after reading reviews on this site and wholly agree with comments others have left. The price is unbeatable, the room spotlessly clean, the staff friendly. Nice to have secure parking. The automated check in was new to me, but no problem.

It's a bit out of the city but there is a tram-stop within a 2 minute walk and the trams are frequent and impressive. The medieval quarter of the city is lovely with many restaurants to choose from. The rest of the city is equally pleasant. I shall be coming back to visit the car museum.

When arriving from the west as I did TURN RIGHT at the second roundabout, then first left to reach the hotel. Otherwise you'll continue onto the road south out of town and it's not easy to get back. Trust me, I know.

We stayed here for one night as my son and I were going to the car museum(which is excellent)
This hotel is very clean. The wifi worked well. Shower was very good. Location is easy to find with sat nav although dont use the address the hotel give you !! take the turning before.

The breakfast was really good and there are a few places to eat within walking distance.

staff were very helpful.

And the price was really good. We loved our time in Le Mans

This is our second stay at this hotel en route to our holiday destination and we were as pleased as on our previous stay.

We had to book 2 rooms (29 euro each!) for 2 adults, 3 children and a baby ! Just an overnight stop on the way to the Vendee, just off our route so very little detour.

Very good value. Modern, clean, tidy, neat, compact rooms with everything you need for an overnight stay. Wifi internet access is included. Good buffet breakfast available with 2 free kids per paying adult .

Very easy to find - straight down main road from ring road and near to university.

Several bars and restaurants within easy walking distance and a play area next door to entertain younger children.

Secure overnight Parking. Very pleasant helpful staff.
